I believe it should not be hard for a business to pro-rate storage rent if the client had no prior issues of late pays etc, and is being transparent regarding move out date. My experience was highly unpleasant with CubeSmart on Sunset Ave in Henderson NV. Upon moving in I advised that I would only need the storage for about 3 months max. I paid all my storage costs on time. Then advised I intended to move out of the unit on 1/16/26. My bill was due on 1/13/26. I thought it would be best to still make my payment to avoid any late fees and that CubeSmart would simply refund me the difference after moving out. However almost all of the employees advised me they do not refund or even pro-rate storage bills. This caused me to panic. I felt like I had to fight with the company for someone to see the ethical way to handle this situation. In the end I was refunded but never given a straight answer if I would be. I just so happened to check my account and noticed someone did refund the difference. There was no communication- just my instincts. Due to this I don’t feel safe continuing business in the future.

Customer service was terrible. I was lied to multiple times. Brown residue damaged a lot of my items in the storage. Are requested to move my storage and was denied. I even had proof that my items were damaged and nothing was done. Upon moving out, I was given specific instructions on what to do when moving out I followed all instructions. I have proof of me following these instructions and I was charged late fees. Then my storage went into auction in the storage was empty with no lock and the door was up indicating that the storage was empty and I was moving out.
