i have rented at the same location for five or more yearsthis time it was a horrendous experience. it took one hour to obtain a cube that was satisfactory to me.and management was totally inflexible as to making price concessions.i had reserved a cube for $13.20 i was shown a cube that was listed as available but it wasn't.then i was shown a cube that was up 12 or more feet that i could not use. finally i ended up paying $17.40.aswas listed as available

They cost me $800, locked me out of my unit without online notice. Then, the store manager cursed at me, and became threatening.I don't leave reviews. This was truly awful.

The facility was conveniently located, very clean, bright and provided good options. The person I dealt with in the office was very friendly, courteous and helpful.

To the Manager,Cubesmart Long Island City30‑25 Northern Blvd, NY 11101Subject: Urgent Complaint – Facility Inaccessibility During Posted Business HoursDear Manager,I am writing to formally report a serious issue I experienced this morning at your facility. I am the renter of a Unit and on February 22, 2026, I attempted to access my unit multiple times during your posted business hours. The facility was closed, the gates were locked, and no staff member was present.Here is a clear timeline of events:- 8:20 AM: Arrived at the facility — gates locked, no representative on site.- 9:00 AM: Returned — same situation.- 9:40 AM: Returned again and called your helpline (800‑800‑1717). I explained that I urgently needed access because I was scheduled to travel to Boston before the incoming blizzard. The helpline contacted someone from the store, and I was told the facility would be opened within 30 minutes.- I waited the full 30 minutes — no one arrived.- 10:40 AM: Returned once more — facility still closed.- I called the facility directly and left a voicemail — no response.- 11:15 AM: Only at this time was I finally able to access my unit.This repeated inaccessibility during posted operating hours, combined with the complete lack of communication from your staff, caused significant disruption to my family’s travel plans. We were unable to depart for Boston as scheduled and are now facing both logistical and monetary consequences as a result of your facility’s failure to operate as advertised.This situation is unacceptable. Customers rely on Cubesmart to provide consistent access and professional service, especially when they are paying for secure and reliable storage.I am requesting the following:- Immediate escalation of this matter to Cubesmart regional and corporate management.- Compensation for the inconvenience, delays, and financial impact caused by the facility being closed without notice.- A clear explanation of why the facility was not open during business hours and why no staff member responded to calls or commitments made through the helpline.Please advise who the appropriate point of escalation is so I can ensure this issue is addressed promptly and appropriately.I expect a timely response.
