The change with automatic payment. Charging a service fee to have my payment automatically deducted from my checking account is absurd. I might as well tell people to go to a storage facility where they dont have to worry about that.

RATS. I have been a long time customer at that facility even before it was CubeSmart. Years ago, when it was 441 Storage, the place was immaculate. They would power wash the outside, and scrub the inside. They maintained it better than most maintained their homes! The condition of the facility declined the past 2 years. I found a DEAD RAT in my outside unit, and rat droppings in all three inside units. Not only did I find rat droppings, but yesterday when I was moving out, we could hear them moving above us in the duct work! I have a horse farm that has had rats. Trust me, these were definitely rats! There was no reason to be paying over $422/mo on my last storage unit in a rat infested storage facility when I can store my things at the farm and not worry about rat damage.Not only that, but I had emptied out my storage unit with flashlights because once again, the light by my unit had burnt out and had not been replaced/fixed.I am not the only one moving out. I have been there for 5+ years, and I have never seen as many empty units as I saw yesterday! There used to be a waiting list for the units when I first moved in.I did call the main office and voiced my concerns. Nothing was done. All that happened was I got a call from the manager at the time. I told her everything that was going on. And still nothing was done. There are rat boxes outside of the facility. However, there were rat boxes outside of the facility. Moved in years ago and they never had this type of problem.Unfortunately, given the rat issue and the lack of maintenance, I would never recommend this storage facility to any of my family or friends. Not only that, but the prices are very high.
