I chose to sign and pay online last Saturday and spoke with the local employees twice that day. I explained I would be moving in on Sunday. They said I would be receiving an email with my unit number, entry code and account number. The email did not provide an access code. Once a got a code from customer service we could still not gain access to the property because your gate has a problem in the gearbox. After calling customer service several times they sent a manager out to let us in. The gate still wouldn’t open. Once we got through the gate we couldn’t gain access to the building because the programming needed to be reset. This process took 1.5 hours. This delay resulted in my being charged X2 from the trailer rental company. I should receive a discount for my extra trailer expenses. Thus far my experience has been less than satisfactory.

1) I feel that the price was raised on me at the first opportunity that CubeSmart had. I had already had to dispute my bill once and did not feel like doing it again.2) Lax security. On many occasions gates were left open and doors were not working properly. I had two locks on my unit and still felt exposed.3) I am pretty sure that there are or were at least 2 people living in one of the units. I witnessed them doing drugs out of their vehicle and did not feel safe getting my family out of our vehicle.

I was sharing this unit with someone, I am moving away, he was going to go with public storage, but I talked him into continuing service with CubeSmart, as the units are more cost efficient and they are climate controlled
