Good competent service at the start with knowledgeable person all done over the phone from another country!

We reserved a 10X10 and paid for the first month. Upon receiving the receipt I noticed we were charged for two circular locks, which seemed weird to me. Unit was listed as B050-B051. It wasn't until we arrived on site that we learned someone with the title Revenue Manager made the decision to give us two 5X10 units. We weren't consulted about this and the two units, while nominally equal to a 10X10, weren't the same. We spoke to the employee on duty, Zach, and he said there was nothing he could do about and we were forced to cancel the agreement and now are waiting for a refund, which Zach said would take 37 days.

Overall, CubeSmart Self Storage was a safe and clean facility to store the majority of my personal belongings over the past few years. The property was easy to access from the Arizona 303 freeway which was important for me when I was considering potential storage properties. The property was well maintained and there was never any issue getting in the way of other tenants when I visited. The reason I gave a 3 score is specific to this property. Throughout my time renting at this property, I never felt appreciated as a customer. For most of the months, I paid rent by cash in-person at the property office. Whenever I visited, the property manager Zach would always make it obvious that I was inconveniencing him by doing so (e.g. rolling his eyes, not extending a welcoming feel throughout the duration of my visit). The reason I hadn't moved out earlier in the past year (2025) was because I never had the free and dedicated time to move all of my personal belongings to another storage facility. In mid-December, I was able to find a better storage facility that was three times less than what I was paying for my unit at CubeSmart Self Storage, and was able to move out before the end of the year. I will not be recommending CubeSmart Self Storage to anyone that I know because of my experience being treated as a customer and because of the constant rental rate hikes. I hope that the corporate office at CubeSmart Self Storage checks in with the property manager at the property I was renting at to discuss how he can improve his professionalism when dealing with potential and current customers.
