They lure you in with low prices then make major increases every 6 months. They're not upgrading the property nor do they have to do anything to your unit monthly (no one is cleaning it every month, they're not changing those 'poison packs' put down for rodents, there's no deterrent for bugs, you put your stuff in there and it sits. There's no security after the office closes until the end of access hours, so why the extreme increases/prices? Moreso, it's very bothersome to see that new customers can come get the same unit for 1/5 of the price; my mother just had a regular 5x10 on the 2nd floor for $319/mo...I could've reserved the same online as a new customer for $64, even a 1st floor for just $74! That's a slap in the face for current customers, moreover for a 9 year customer! Further, I have a unit at a newer, cleaner store that's 3x bigger for $50 less...absolutely ridiculous! Lastly, I had to finish cleaning out her unit and though the bill was due on the 2nd and I didn't finish until the evening of 11/5, because their office was closed then, even though I took pics and video when I finished and emailed them, and they could track when I left, I still had to pay for the next day too. While I appreciate the rent being prorated because it was cleared before the late fee hit, since I had proof I feel I should've only had to pay for 4 days... even better customer appreciation would've been to not charge at all since stuff had been there for 9.5 years and they'd already made probably $20k. Eddie is very pleasant and helpful, but he's not the manager so his authority is limited, but they could've handled that better, especially since my mother had come Fr out of state to clear half of it and paid for that last month in full.
