Worst storage unit ever! We had the unit for 6 years and never missed a payment. You raised the rate all the way to $412.00 a month. We called corporate to find out the rate for our size unit and you quoted us almost $200 less. When we asked the person on the phone why ours was higher they hung up. You guys are so shady, that I will go out of my way to tell people how bad you are.

Unfortunately my residence recently flooded while I was up in Winston-Salem for my wife's surgery. I needed some storage units for all my items that I was able to actually salvage from the unexpected water damage that I didn't have to throw away in a dumpster. Nicole was very helpful & friendly assisting me with all my storage needs & rented me some units. However, about 3-4 days later I inquired in the main office with her coworker Corey or Korey (not sure of correct spelling since she did not give me her business card) I asked her a question, which was if I needed another storage unit can the “1 time admin fee be waived since I’m already a customer & its only been 3-4 days since I got them?” To which she said no all storage units when they get rented get assessed a 1 time admin fee, so I was like ok fine. Then I said well if I need another storage unit from here what about getting the 1 month free promo? To which she said no that promo is only for “new customers”, I was like I am a new customer it’s only been like 3-4 days since I got my other units. She said no you’re an existing customer. I was like you have to be kidding me, I can’t believe the “lack of common business sense.” I’m not sure if it’s Corey’s/Korey’s logic or it’s corporate policy but the business should appreciate me &/OR any other customer who is dealing with a crisis who is willing to spend more $$/wants to spend more $$ on another storage unit with them. So since they clearly don’t value me as a customer or somehow how don’t consider me a new customer when it’s only been 3-4 days later I’ll take my $$/business elsewhere to get my additional storage unit. It’s not like Wilmington, NC doesn’t have a million other rental units near by! There is so much competition out there that I’m sure another rental place has a move in special/promo on storage units. I just wish Nicole was there yesterday/Monday because maybe the customer “me” would have actually felt appreciated when inquiring about wanting to give them more business. It’s just beyond petty not to honor the 1 month free promo especially since I didn’t realize originally I might need another storage unit only 3-4 days after renting my original ones. It’s not like I could plan this properly! Im displaced not living in my residence & Im trying to get my stuff out that the water damage & this nightmare didn’t ruin. So renting from CubeSmart went from a good experience to then disappointing one. Maybe they should change their name to CubeNotSoSmart because you don’t treat a customer “new or old” (when 3-4 days after 1st rental should still be considered a New Customer) & is willing to spend more $/give you more business as he’s dealing with a crisis.

No problems just the changes in the price.

I liked it for the cleanliness and controlled environment. I did NOT appreciate that I was paying over $280 a month, for what, the same service I started with that was $120 a month?

It did exactly what it was supposed to do. When I was dont using it, the team made it very easy to move on. If I need a storage unit in the future, ill use them.

I don’t feel like it is maintained well. Broken lights not repaired and dead roaches all over the place. In addition the constant price hikes are way out of line. It’s pure greed on the part of corporate to increase prices that much. We have to cover our own insurance so electricity to run the place has not gone up as much in relation to your price hikes. It’s ridiculous.

Quick service, nice facilities. Really? Good climate control.

Setting up a unit was very easy, the place was very secure and clean and I never worried about my belongings. I would highly recommend!

Used CubeSmart for almost 4 years and never had an issue. If I ever need to store something it will be with CubeSmart again.

The facility was clean and safe and fine but I did not appreciate that our rental rate was constantly increasing.
