Great customer service and rooms where great size

I liked the facility and the fact that it felt secure and climate controlled. I had a storage unit for 3 years, but the last rent increase was finally too much, so I opted to find a different storage solution.

Though not the case recently, I frequently came to the office and found it unmanned, which wasalways an inconvenience.I did not like the unannounced rate increases.

My Mother-in-law has had a storage space at Cube Smart for over a year. She recently passed away (96 yo!) and we needed to clear her space as well as find a smaller space for some of our things. Marion and Emmanuel were super helpful in helping us find the right size unit in the most convenient location. Moving things in and out of storage, especially after losing my sweet MIL, was not my idea of a good time, but their friendly assistance made it way better.

When your Wilton facility was flooded in 2024 and materials in my unit were damaged/destroyed, I interacted with one of the rudest and most disrespectful service people/managers I've had the displeasure to meet. I believe she may have been working at the Wilton facility temporarily, having been assigned from another of your facilities to help after the flood. She gave me a deadline to remove all my items and said if I didn't do so before a cleaning crew was scheduled to arrive everything would be thrown out. I later learned she had also said that to other persons renting units from you. A few days later, however, I was helped by the most helpful and respectful service manager - I believe his name is Emanuel - who stayed late one night and helped me move some of my materials. The crew that cleaned my unit was also helpful. More recently, at the end of December, when informing one of your store managers that I was closing my account and moving out of my large unit, I was told, also in an inconsiderate way, to get everything out by Saturday or else I'd owe another full month's rent (the rent wasn't due until Monday). When I asked if he could just give me until Monday, he only said "that's the rule." There happened to be a snowstorm on Saturday; I struggled Sunday and Monday to get everything out and then by chance happened to run into Emanuel when I was about to leave the facility and who again helped me and assured me there wasn't a problem closing out my account. In conclusion, my experience with two of your managers was much less than positive; Emanuel, however, in my opinion is deserving of the utmost praise for his professionalism and the respectful way he treats your customers. (I've heard others who rent units at your facility say the same thing.) I later mentioned to others how his helpful attitude toward me that day demonstrated how just one helpful and respectful service interaction can have a most beneficial effect on a person. I continue to maintain a smaller storage unit that remains affordable at your facility.
