I reckon we were overcharged when buying an automatic diesel Clio three months ago at the enterprise. In the space of three months after the purchase, and having to give up on the car due to unacceptable performance, the car has depreciated to the point of losing in the next transaction about £3000 .It appears illogic to assume anything else.

I was overcharged three months ago when buying the car in the first place.Denied a refund when the car needed repeated oil change and service.Details:I bought an automatic diesel Renault Clio on 30 July 2025 at Charles Hurst Newtownards garage. Staff attentively assured me the car had been fully serviced including oil change. After three weeks driving the car for long distances involving work and personal business a warning service message appeared on the dashboard.Under the one year warranty, Charles Hurst Newtownards garage serviced the vehicle and changed the oil on 1 September 2025.Having apprehensions about the car's performance at that stage, and expressing the possibility of returning the vehicle with full reimbursement, I was assured the car was ok.Six weeks later the same warning light and message came up again . A new oil change was scheduled for 22 October 2025 at Newtownards Renault garage. At that point, having made 2800 miles in three months since it's purchase the vehicle had had three oil changes.Dissatisfied and concerned about the future maintenance of such performance I sought a refund on the grounds of poor performance.Newtownards Renault garage declined this alleging that the car was ok and that the problem was the way the car was driven, say mainly short trips , though I had been making an average of 200 miles per week with alternative long and short trips.Instead a trade in was proposed by which I am over £2000 short from the original price paid."

Bought the Renault Clio 4 months ago and have not received registration documents or receipt of payment. The car was paid through bank transfer.Since the purchase of the vehicle I have been doing an average of 150 miles per week, so in four months the car has done 2600 miles approximately. We reckon that it is not acceptable that the car would need three oil changes in the space of four months in response to warnings appearing on the dashboard. We are seeking to return the vehicle on the grounds of the issue above. We ask a full refund of £12250 , as the car performance is not satisfactory, but the management offers £10000 only for it.We cannot accept such terms as the return of the car is not based on a whimsical decision but on grounds of poor performance.

Although I had 'wandered in' to make a general enquiry about the Dacia Jogger, Jonathan was quite happy to spend time with me and answer my questions, where possible.
