The recall fix was completed quickly and efficiently. I had been told it might take up to 5-6 hours, but I was in and out in less than an hour. However, I was told that if I DID have to wait a half day or more, David McDavid Ford would NOT provide a loaner or rental car. When I complained (I was particularly annoyed since I had NEVER been to a dealership that refused to provide a loaner car, PARTICULARLY for a factory recall), I was told by two different associates that McDavid was the only dealership they had ever worked for that DIDN’T provide loaners. I bought my F-150 here 6 months ago, and had to fill out buyer feedback forms where I was begged to give 5-star ratings so the dealership wouldn’t get “in trouble” with corporate. Same with a few minor factory defects I had to get fixed. I complied in the past, but not this time, and if McDavid continues to refuse to provide loaner cars in the future I’ll be buying my next new truck somewhere else.
