A near disastrous customer service experience was saved... I called to get a warranty replacement for a faulty battery on my 2024 Odyssey that was purchased at David McDavid less that two weeks prior. I was told I would need to tow the car in, in order to do that. I realize that is standard policy but I was asking for a common sense exception to let me bring in the battery for warranty replacement. I was already quite upset that my brand new car needed service and the telephone support from the "manager" I was speaking to was infuriating. "There's nothing I can do"... "I don't want to risk towing my car over a simple battery. just give me a new battery if you won't warranty it"... "Would you like me to call the tow company for you?"... Very dismissive tone and language had my blood pressure sky high. Thankfully someone called me back and said to just bring the battery in, so I did and it was replaced in 5 minutes and we've had no trouble since.I'm not sure how the other service manager knew I had had a bad experience and to call me back... Perhaps he was in the room for the original call. He called me moments before I posted a series of very angry reviews to my socials... All over a battery. Common sense luckily prevailed so I will continue to consider David McDavid my Honda dealer.
