Deca let me tour properties on short notice and Michelle was so great to work with and they explained everything thoroughly when it came time to sign the lease

DECA does a great job managing my tenants, bills and the leases. The maintenance is also good, but some vendors such as Dole Heating tend to overcharge and these charges go unverified by DECA, so I get ripped off. This actually happened 2 weeks ago but I caught Dole’s overstated quote and made alternate arrangements myself. I understand DECA has a good relationship with Dole, but this situation has caused me to mistrust DECA, so now, I have to watch maintenance charges all the time. Not something I enjoy doing. Also, a few months ago, DECA grossly overcharged me about $450 for a simple house cleaning which they eventually fixed, but I had to reach out to Marty to investigate the charges. I don’t like to nickel and dime my PMs, but I have to be careful with DECA.

I am basically happy with the services that are provided. My questions are always answered in a timely fashion which I do appreciate. I didn't give 5 stars since there is always room for improvement. My only concern was that with the last renter at Gahan, I was not given a change to approve them before they signed the lease. I always want to see the application of every tenant that applies even if it seems like a given that we would rent to them. I should have the final approval ALWAYS!
