Dental one says sent a debt collector to contact me about $250.00 balance. At my last appt, about about one month ago, I asked if owed a balance. Cindy stated that an error was made by Dental One when submitting a claim to my insurance company for payment. She told me that I did not have a balance. I don’t know why a Dental One turned my account over to a debt collector without first contacting me to discuss and after making a mistake submitting my claim to my insurance company.

I went in to get a chipped tooth fixed. I left with the same chipped tooth. The dentist did not fix it. I was told the tooth being chipped wasn't an "accident" it was apparently my fault (even though a huge bone was in my food... this chipping the tooth). I was told I grind my teeth. I do not. I was told everytime I eat my bottom tooth hits my top tooth, making it weak. It does not. The dentist said he could shave the bottom tooth down but it would "grow up/move up"...he used both of these statements so I'm not sure what he means by this. When I researched this I didn't find proof anywhere that teeth do this. I left defeated and embarrassed. Not a great first impression of dentists in Virginia.

I love everything about Dental One Associates of Woodbridge! Dr. Z and his staff has the best bedside manners. He has restored my faith and confidence in dentistry by calming my fear and anxiety from previous dentist. He and his staff were very accommodating. Needless to say I’ve found a new dental home.

I stopped by Fri, Apr 3 to discuss issues with the claim you submitted to Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) medical insurance, but you were closed. The notes on the BCBS Explanation of Benefits say the dental care I received is not listed as a covered service for 5 of the 6 rows and I'm required to pay $283.10. However, their website & brochure clearly show they cover costs for a periodic oral exam, prophylaxis, & bitewings by a preferred provider. It appears you may need to resubmit new codes?
