Had to wait nearly 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment time to get started. I love my dental hygienist so I will come back but if this happens again, I will likely change dentists as this has happened multiple times over the years.

I was in the middle of my annual dental cleaning when the billing person interrupted the hygienist to inform me that I required a “deeper cleaning than normal” and my copay would be ~$230. I was not given a choice as I was NOT told this BEFORE my cleaning started. Afterwards, the biller said she was “busy with other patients” and then “couldn’t find me because we moved to a different treatment room”. I’m considering changing dentists. And I did not see Dr Pena as planned.
