I will not be returning or recommend anyone to go to this office. The dentist I saw walked in, looked at my X-rays and within 5 seconds told me I needed a root canal. I leaned up, looked at the X-rays on the screen and asked her to show me why she thought so. She explained why she thought so and offered to recommend me to a specialist that could perform the procedure.I asked her if she was certain that was the only option. She quickly backtracked and told me "Maybe I could wait two weeks to see if it gets better."What?! Either I need a root canal or I don't. She finally inquired about my pain. She then said I had infection. I asked how she could tell and she then said "Maybe you don't have infection."Well do I or don't !?Finally, she looked in my mouth and again said "Why not wait a couple weeks to see what happens?"Really???? If I DO have infection couldn't that be deadly? This visit was almost comical in how inept it was. ALMOST, if I wasn't in pain.No blood pressure check, no temp taken. Just complete inadequacy.I asked you, would you go back? The only positive experience was the young lady Lavonna that took my X-rays.I am grateful I have the finances to search for dental care that is professional, decisive and brings experience and confidence to their job.I'm sure nothing will come out of this review. Not even sure why I am wasting my time completing it.I left this office feeling like I was a number being referred to another dentist that would perform a root canal and your office would get payback from them.Again I am so happy I have options many don't, and I will shout it out loud for others not to go to this office.

I had made the appointment over the phone with a gentleman named Jeff. He said I would be able to schedule a wisdom tooth extraction at 3:00pm yesterday, Wednesday the 27th, at a max of $300 out of pocket. He was very kind and pleasant to speak to, but I would later find out he provided me very incorrect information. When I arrived at the office, the secretary said the same thing he did at check in, and confirmed a max $300 out of pocket cost for the extraction. I was called back at approx 3:15, had some initial x-rays taken, and was then left alone in the theatre (4) until approximately 4:30pm. At that point, only two back end staff remained. The doctor (female) complained to the assistant that no diagnostic tools or materials were ready yet despite my having waited for over an hour. She explained that they were the only two remaining staff in the back and seemed a bit frazzled and agitated, which I could understand. She was breathing very hard as if out of breath. However, she did a brief exam and then said she’d make an appointment with the oral surgeon. I was taken aback and confused at this point, because at no point was it confirmed this was a consult - I expected the extraction that day. The doctor confirmed the oral surgeon was not in today and was taken aback by my question - seemingly as if it was a silly thing to have thought or asked. The doctor then asked if I had any allergies, though they were listed on my chart during intake. When I mentioned both my penicillin allergy & sulfa allergy, she looked at me and said, “I don’t like that” with a bit of an attitude and asked me if a Z-pack would be okay. I stated that I assumed so, as I only knew of the two allergies. She told me it was not as strong as penicillin, but I affirmed again I could not take it. She also prescribed me 600mg ibuprofen, which was appreciated. The interaction was fine, otherwise, but it was clear she and the other staff member were over exerted and stressed due to being alone at the end of their shift, and I believe this negatively impacted my experience. The woman who helped me schedule my follow up appointment with the surgeon, Jill, was very helpful and gave me more confidence in the practice. She was well organized & had the most accurate sense of what was occurring in the office. Jill told me the extraction would actually cost $480 out of pocket, and possibly more due to follow up costs.

The dentist I saw today doesn’t do root canals. Never heard of a dentist that didn’t do root canals.

The staff was helpful and courteous and the Doctor did his job. As a senior with no insurance paid by care credit card you should have given a discount because your staff didn’t have to fight insurance for it.
