I was told that someone would contact me no later than 2/2/26 to schedule my in person appointment for ultrasound and genetic testing. I have not received any follow up as of today, 2/5/26. I have attempted to call to talk to someone as I had an emergency room visit on 2/1/26 for possible miscarriage, and I have still not been able to talk to someone to actually get an appointment scheduled. I am falling behind on milestones such as genetic testing due to the failure to be able to schedule an appointment. I have heard good things about your services and my virtual appointment made things sound like this is the place that I want to build out my care plan, but I am unsure how to feel at this point. I had severe bleeding on Sunday and have not been able to even speak to someone about coming in to get my care started.

I loved being a patient here. Loved the nurses and doctors and everyone. But I feel as though I wasn’t given the full experience and these are the reason why. One, I didn’t get close up vivid pictures of my son’s face and hands like I’ve seen others get. Two, the day I was supposed to chose my induction date, I went in and Morgan told me she would get back to me by the end of that date with what the doctor had said. That was a Friday and I never got a text nor call. I had to wait until Monday to be told the exact date to be at the hospital. I would have liked a text or call on that Friday stating that the doctor never got back to her. And three, I was told by people who had done induction before that you get a few different dates to choose from and I didn’t. I got told, “you need to be at the hospital on January 12th.” Other than those things I had a great experience! I may have been told wrong on one or two of those. But it just felt upsetting seeing my best friend be pregnant at the same time and get those things while I wasn’t.

I had an issue (not sure how to describe it, but a type of knot) and the lady basically thought I was crazy and said everything was normal. When I got home I realized the knot was still there, but I was nervous and I just agreed with her during the appointment. I’m also in the late 40s with very heavy and irregular periods and none of that was discussed with me. The lady was really nice, but I didn’t feel like I got the care or conversation I was expecting. I was also there for an hour and a half which I thought was excessive, especially since she spent less than 5 minutes with me.

On my first visit, Tabitha tried to tell me that state law required I get all the recommended screenings. She said it twice, and I was surprised. Eventually I got my head on straight and realized that just can’t be and pushed back. I asked her again if state law really actually requires me to take those screenings, and she had to eat her words after hesitating. It’s things like this that compromise my faith in doctors and whether they have my best interest in mind. I can’t relax, I have to look out for myself. In my previous pregnancies (at this same office) I was able to choose what screening I wanted done, but now you have a form that lumps them all together and only have one signature line. It reads as “agree to all”, and when I asked the nurse “what if I don’t want to do all of them? How do I turn one down?” There was a long “uhhhhhh”, before she left the room for 5 minutes. That’s when Tabitha came in.I find it hard to believe I’m the only one that’s wanted to pick and choose, but you are not set up for the ones who want a personalized healthcare experience.

I love that you guys have Dr. Will Smith. He will be a great addition to the team for the Cookeville office. Also the staff, nurse's and other Drs are awesome.
