From the L&D nurses to recovery nurses, the pediatricians etc. all made me feel seen, heard and respected about my choices for my health and my child’s. Everyone was so kind and supportive and it was a 180 experience from my first birth and delivery in 2023 at sacred heart in Pensacola. One thing I did not love was that the surgeon who did my c section did not come talk to me prior to my surgery (which was non-emergent). I only talked to the anesthesiologist and a few of the nurses in the room prior to my surgery and I would have preferred the doctor to give me a quick run down of surgery so I could have built trust with him as he was not my OB and I had never met him prior to that day (I only met Dr Reed and Dr Hennessy and was attempting a VBAC with a midwife). Even the doctor who performed my c section at sacred heart (who also was not my OB and I had never met) talked to me right before my surgery so I could know her name and what would happen. Even as someone who had previously experienced a c section (my labor and birth were particularly traumatic with my first) it would’ve eased my anxiety to have talked with the doctor prior to surgery.

Lots of ideas & information about a decrease in the amount of my current prescription was discussed at my Virtual visit.

Christina was awesome. She listened, was caring, and made me feel comfortable. I think our approach to care was remarkable. She was very knowledgeable!

I understand that it’s summer in Florida, but the office has been warm my last 2 visits. Being 7 months pregnant, it would be nice if it were a cooler temp in the office while waiting to see provider or have tests run. Also, there needs to be better communication about what to expect at each prenatal visit. The provider didn’t tell me that I would need to stay for a 1-hour glucose test at my 16 week appointment. Then I was told I would need to test again at 28 weeks. However, at the beginning of the visit my nurse said I wouldn’t need a test at all since I’d done a 1-hour and 3-hour. Then the provider came in to say it’s recommended I do another 3-hour, which came at a surprise because I was expecting to do another 1-hour test. I also was not told I would have to give labs at 28-weeks, so that would have been good to know in advance. Some people have taken off of work for the visit so it would be nice to know if the appointment is going to be 30 min or 2 hours. When I receive the reminder emails about the appointments, I think it would be beneficial to say “here’s what to expect at this weeks prenatal appointment”. This is my first pregnancy so all of this is new. I brushed it off at the 16-week appointment but now that I’m seeing a trend. I think it’s only fair to the patient to know what to expect.

My visit with Christene was pleasant. She reviewed my file, asked pertinent questions and answered all questions that I had. She assured me that the office would request additional records from my PCP to better understand my concerns. It was a good virtual visit.

Very good service and above all, very patient with people who don't have a good command of the language.

Luz was wonderful! I had misunderstood directions from the previous appt about an early glucose test, and she was so helpful and understanding about explaining everything and making me feel comfortable.
