The dealership premises are impressive and well maintained. We did of course purchase a new RDX, so in the end it was what we wanted to do. However, the process we went through to come to a negotiated deal was really no different than any new or used car experience, and that was a disappointment given that I expected more from an Acura dealer. We were trading in a 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid and I knew that there was a $1000 bonus for being a Honda owner buying another Honda/Acura new car, but the salesman was not forthcoming about this bonus but tried to use it as if it was a reduction in the negotiating process. I had to call him (and the unseen dealmaker that he kept visiting during our discussions) and so I felt they did not bargain honestly. They were in the end nice, but nevertheless tried to squeeze every dollar out of a customer who was open with them from the beginning. I'm of course aware that when one trades in a car it opens up more negotiations than if just paying cash, but it was a premium trade-in, a known quantity, and I felt like it was more like trading in a used Chevrolet Geo. Also, had an error in the final paperwork that the finance person had to deal with and in fact overrode the sales people to get the deal to complete. So all in all, it was nice to get a wonderful car, but I could have been done a little more clearly and professionally in my opinion. I still don't like the going back and forth concept; would rather deal direct with the person who actually has the authority to say yes. Is that too much to ask? Apparently so since most dealers still operate that way.
