Boston Hoff at Dick Hannah Volkswagen Hyundai of Portland did an absolutely fantastic job throughout my purchase of a new 2023 Hyundai Kona N. This purchase was a bit tricky since I reside in California, and all of our communication was over telephone, email, and text. Moreover, the office was busier than usual over the holidays, which typically make response times longer. In spite of these challenges, I was able to purchase the car, complete all paperwork, and receive delivery within a week. I've purchased several cars from out of state, and this transaction was one of the quickest and smoothest ever. Our car arrived in perfect condition. We love it - thank you Boston!

The bad news was I arrived on the last day of the year and they were fairly swamped with customers, the original person I spoke with wasn't available, but they made Allan Grant available who was the exact right fit for my sometimes cantakerous personality. He was very informative, good with the details of the car (Tucson Hybrid), patient, and just extremely comfortable to interact with. Appreciated having an African American sales consultant in a field that remains very white and mostly male. My first time (in 69 years) buying a new car, and I was very reticent. I entered into some negotions around price, prepared with relevant info, and Mr Grant was very receptive. I probably could have waited till the new year (and a new batch of deliveries) to get a better price, but I really felt what we arrived at was pretty reasonable. And honestly, if I'm getting good service and a positive experience I don't mind paying what may have been a little more than if I'd been more hardcore. The followup has been reasonable. The car is utterly exceptional - almost too nice for what I'm used to. Wish I could have afforded a plug-in, but if I could, I'd still get the Tucson over a Rav4 Prime, just because it is such a quiet, responsive car to drive. I'm quite delighted with the car. I've no reason not to provide five stars for this whole experience and the car.
