It’s hard to be seen because the clinic is so busy. I was bleeding at 7 weeks pregnant and had to call multiple times and go to the er before getting consider for an initial appointment. We were going out of town and the bleeding progressed/changed so I called multiple times to ask questions about whether I should go. They promised to call back and never did. I asked about natural progesterone since I felt regression, have a history of miscarriage, was diagnosed with a subchorionic hemorrhage in the er, and was bleeding but they wouldn’t check my levels and discouraged trying it. I don’t like that you don’t see the same provider or care team every visit. Especially when you have a history of miscarriage. It seemed like nobody knew my situation and I constantly had to retell the story over. One nurse even mentioned doing a pelvic exam when I am on pelvic rest. When I told them I thought I’d miscarried they struggled to get me in and no ultrasound was promised but when I got there they realized the urgency and got me in for an ultrasound to confirm miscarriage. This clinic needs to work on personalized care, knowing their patients, understanding the patients history and risks, communicating better with their patients, doing everything they can to save a pregnancy and ease a patients concerns. I wasn’t just looking to have an ultrasound. I just wanted help and to save my baby. I also encourage this office to offer families experiencing loss and infertility to go seek functional help at growing green families bc leaving with “come back when you’re pregnant again” isn’t enough.
