Andy G was fantastic! He performed a thorough inspection and went above and beyond by providing the right recommendation instead of simply swapping out the unit. His work was outstanding—he explained everything clearly, completed the job with great care, and made the whole process stress-free. I would highly recommend Andy to anyone needing water heater service.

Robert and Eric worked well together, they are so professional. Showed concern to leave my basement clean and dry, explained the steps and answered all my questions. Once the job was completed Robert and Eric explained how to light the pilot to me and my daughter. Very polite young men.

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the way my recent water heater installation was handled. While I want to note that Tim’s service during the installation itself was fine, my overall experience with DRF has been extremely frustrating and disappointing.I chose DRF because I wanted to use my Lowe’s credit card to finance the purchase. I also requested a comparison quote through Home Depot, which unfortunately led to repeated sales calls from multiple DRF representatives. Eventually, I returned to my original contact, Erick, who assured me several times that there would be no additional fees beyond the required city permit. That assurance turned out to be misleading. For example:I was told I would need to pay $179 for a separate plumber visit just to confirm sizing, and that this fee would not be applied to the installation cost and would have to be done on a different day than the installation. I declined, as I had already confirmed the measurements myself.I was told my installation would be on September 25 from 8–11am. When I called at 9:30am, I was told I was “third on the list” and likely would not see an installer until later that day. This forced me to reschedule to September 29, and I was informed of a $79 “priority scheduling fee” if I wanted a guaranteed time — which I also declined. On the day of installation, I was unexpectedly charged an additional $200 “difficult installation” fee because the unit had to be lifted over a small pipe. However, I had provided photos of the installation location in advance, and if this fee were truly necessary, it should have been identified at that time — not sprung on me the day of installation. The water heater is in a first-floor closet with no stairs or unusual obstacles, so the charge itself was unreasonable to begin with. After installation, I was informed that DRF does not remove the large cardboard packaging, leaving me with disposal responsibilities that I had not been made aware of.This experience left me feeling misled and taken advantage of. The layering of hidden and predatory fees — from scheduling to installation — is unacceptable. Customers should be provided with a transparent, all-inclusive estimate upfront, not pressured with last-minute charges on the day of service.I am also reporting my experience to Lowe’s, as I am certain they would not want their customers referred to a company that conducts business in this way.I request that DRF review these charges, issue a refund for the unnecessary $200 “difficult installation” fee, and take steps to ensure that future customers receive clear and honest information.
