Access to the beach is often hindered by people and chairs blocking access and floaties, paddle boards etc. Even though it states in the rules that are to be signed when you check in no one seems to pay attention to the beach rules.I was part of a large group, our family rented all three cabins by the park. Multiple times the people playing volleyball did not control the ball and it would hit personal items of the cabin renters. Ii would suggest a net to stop this. Who is responsible if something gets broken by a volleyball if you are staying in a cabin?

We’ve been staying at Gallagher Lake for over 20 years. Over the last five years we have really noticed a growing disrespect from some camping groups in regards to noise, music etc, which I am happy to say has been mostly addressed this year. A group playing loud music on the beach was promptly shut down. Furthermore a group camping close to us was asked to quiet down at 11:00 pm. As soon as the security left them after explaining the need to quiet down, they escalated the volume. I caught up with the staff member 10 min later to explain the issue. He took immediate steps to follow up with the group and I’m happy to say he gave them no alternative but to go into their camper. Problem solved. I would like to thank him personally but I don’t recall his name. It was on Thursday, Aug 21. One thing however that is still not being addressed and I’m probably more sensitive to sound than most people is campers playing music at their sites most of the time it is quiet but they don’t realize that the base their stereos produce can be heard across the campground. It’s just a pet peeve of mine. Otherwise I’m very happy with the improved enforcement of the campground rules…well done!

Typically I would rate the resort a 10; however, we had significant issues with pot smoking in the campsite near our unit. The smell was so offensive and made one of us sick. In addition, we couldn't eat meals outside when the person was smoking...which was often. I understand that smoking cannabis is legal and it's hard to enforce, but I do think that Parksbridge needs to start addressing it. Whether putting up signage and enforcing a no smoking cannabis policy, ensuring security is checking in with guests, or by having a cannabis smoking designated area. Either way, it's such an offensive smell and not fair for guests to have to put up with it. We would appreciate seeing efforts to address it.

Thrilled that staff addressed the music playing on the beach immediately. I do have a concern with a group of campers every year that block off the road almost every night so they can play games etc. It is a large group and can be very intimidating for young children to walk by them going to the washroom etc. They have usually been drinking all day. There have been issues with noice with this group in the past.

A Tiki Bar at the beach, serving drinks with little umbrellas would be nice.

We have been going to the resort for 25+ years and always enjoy our stay. We would suggest someone patrol the beach area more frequently as the amount of music being played loudly at the beach at times made it unpleasant. The amount of audible music coming from other campsites was quite noticeable this year. It does detract from the experience. We suggest you go back to the old policy of no audible music. We don't all have the same taste in music, or even listen to music at all while camping.

I was wondering what your smoking policy is. With the sites being so close, second hand smoke is a real issue. We found it very disruptive as we had people that smoked very often right behind us. We have three young kids and even during meal times we were constantly breathing in second hand smoke. With the way laws and the smoking environment are changing we were wondering if it’s time to make a designated smoking area within your Parkbridge resorts. We were shocked that this hasn’t been implemented already given that it’s quite common in most other public places.
