Only annoying thing was that paddle boards were allowed to be left at the water’s edge which almost completely blocked entry into to the lake. Apparently the no beach shelters was enforced at times, but the paddle boards are for more annoying. Perhaps a reminder of that rule plus the no smoking at the beach would be beneficial at check-in.Otherwise we had a fantastic stay and have booked for next year!

Not much room to manauever when parking. Maybe get a forkloft with a hitch and lark people for them. Many times we witnessed resort staff asking people to move vehicles even though they were parked in their site. The one night security was not friendly at all and told us at 1045pm if we didn't stop talking we would not be allowed back. We were not bring loud. He would turn off the lights on his cart and stop in front of the site waiting to say something.

We had a 3 night stay. The first site had a problem because the unit next to us was encroaching on our site. We reported it to the office and they kindly found us a new site. We don’t know if staff addressed the issue with that camper.

The bathrooms were always closed at some point between 7:30-9am for cleaning which took at least 30 minutes. Though we appreciate them being cleaned that is not the appropriate time to do so!We stayed in a cabin and a mini fridge would be an amazing addition to them at a minimal cost.

I would like to see the grass grown back at the beach. It was very pleasant to sit up there before and would like to see that again.I spoke to Nicky about my concerns regarding powered scooters and bicycles ridden by children in the park. They were riding way too fast and I was concerned for the safety of my 4 year old grandson as he used the roads and rode his bicycle with training wheels. I also had a close call and was almost hit by the child riding the powered bike. In my opinion, powered vehicles should be banned by anyone under the age of 18.

Better ventilation in the bathrooms. They get a bit steamy and hot when people are showering.

I wish that smoking of any kind were prohibited on the site, perhaps with only a designated smoking area located far away from other guests. Since marijuana use is permitted, our neighbors were smoking constantly, and my family was left choking on the fumes. There are so many children in the campground that I sincerely hope marijuana use is banned altogether. The smoke filled our tent, making it unbearable for us to stay inside, and it lingered even when slowed. For the sake of families and children, please ban marijuana smoking at this campground.

Access to the beach is often hindered by people and chairs blocking access and floaties, paddle boards etc. Even though it states in the rules that are to be signed when you check in no one seems to pay attention to the beach rules.I was part of a large group, our family rented all three cabins by the park. Multiple times the people playing volleyball did not control the ball and it would hit personal items of the cabin renters. Ii would suggest a net to stop this. Who is responsible if something gets broken by a volleyball if you are staying in a cabin?

We’ve been staying at Gallagher Lake for over 20 years. Over the last five years we have really noticed a growing disrespect from some camping groups in regards to noise, music etc, which I am happy to say has been mostly addressed this year. A group playing loud music on the beach was promptly shut down. Furthermore a group camping close to us was asked to quiet down at 11:00 pm. As soon as the security left them after explaining the need to quiet down, they escalated the volume. I caught up with the staff member 10 min later to explain the issue. He took immediate steps to follow up with the group and I’m happy to say he gave them no alternative but to go into their camper. Problem solved. I would like to thank him personally but I don’t recall his name. It was on Thursday, Aug 21. One thing however that is still not being addressed and I’m probably more sensitive to sound than most people is campers playing music at their sites most of the time it is quiet but they don’t realize that the base their stereos produce can be heard across the campground. It’s just a pet peeve of mine. Otherwise I’m very happy with the improved enforcement of the campground rules…well done!
