You could eliminate the money grabbing site lock fee it's an obvious money grab and you could change the booking system so that I could book the same weekend next year I don't mind paying in advance when I can book for next year at the same time

Overall we really enjoyed our stay but the dust and constant noice from the nearby rock quarry was a significant negative experience. We do not remember this being an issue in our previous stays but it certainly impacted our visit this time Other campers around us were also complaining about this and said this was their first time to the resort but wouldn't come back because of the high dust level and contanr sound of rocks being dumped

My cabin was great but overall I felt that sites were a little cramped particularly in the lower area. The showers were 4 not 5 minutes long. Just saying!

I found that the sorry was dirty. There was garbage in the store and my kids picked up a hand full of candy that was left on the ground. I cleaned up a bunch of stuff after as well because I didn't want my kids to eat any of it.

My only comment would be just to at the very least phone and ask if you’re going to give a persons site away. It can make a huge impact on where someone is staying . Example beside friends or the other side of the park from them.Other than that great grounds great staff

On site camp ground workers are always friendly and helpful - good staff1. lower bathroom cleaning usually happened around 7:30 am which was most inconvenient. This is when most people are waking up and wanting quick bathroom access. Also, the cleaner puts a sign across the door about the cleaning, but it would be way more useful to have a sign across the entrance to the bathroom walkway. That would allow us to see the closure from some distance away and not make a wasted trip when it is closed3. the beach used to be awept every night but that no longer seems to be the case - wondering why. Sweeping it was a good thing3. the site guarantee fee is the one thing that really makes us unhappy (sometimes angry). You should be able to guarantee a site without this fee, which seems like just a money grab.

I have only rebooked a few of my next year regular trips and those that I have booked require me to keep calling in randomly to try to shift them. The move to booking dates of the year versus days of the year is not good. I no longer have Friday-Monday reserved for me to rebook long weekends with you, I now have Saturday-Tuesdays which is not helpful and makes it really difficult to pre-book. When a leap year comes, I’ll be even worse off. Please go back to booking by days of the week so I can keep my Friday-Monday long weekends as a regular booking without the hassle of remembering to call every month for the next year.

The cleaning time for the lower level site bathrooms were inconvenient... The bathroom was usually closed around 8 am... Mid-day 1 to 3pm would be better... I felt that your sites were small & hard to maneuver in & out of... Paying for a shower I was surprising & should be included with the cost of the site... People were aloud to let their dogs use the grassed recreation area, for a toilet... Although they picked up after their dogs, there is still remanence of excrement & urine... This area should be a no animals area...

I had great interactions with Donna and found her super friendly and helpful. Overall, I found the staff very friendly, helpful, and cheerful.I didn’t like our experiences with Brad. He was on night patrol and told the kids they weren’t allowed on the scooters for safety reasons and all bikes/scooters needed to be in sites by 8:30pm. I understand that rule and his concerns, but a manager later told my kids it was e-scooters and bikes and they were fine to be on the scooters. As far as the rules go, it was confusing to the kids and everyone needs to be on the same page. One night in particular, we were visiting friends at their campsite and had the scooters with us. We left their campsite after 8:30. My son didn’t want any run ins with Brad, so he carried it back. Brad was waiting on a golf cart and gruffly told him to “go put it away”, which was exactly what he was doing. I was walking with my other son who was on his scooter going very slowly, and was lit up with glow sticks and a flashlight. Brad started driving his cart toward us so that we had to move off the path. He asked if I was taking him back to the campsite, and I said yes, we weren’t playing at 10:30pm. It almost felt like he had to exert his authority on everyone, I know I’m not the only one who had weird interactions with him.The other thing I found challenging was the smell of weed. We had a campsite near us where the dad was smoking weed quite regularly. He sent his wife and kids away while he was smoking, but the rest of us had to smell it. His site was also right by the park. One, I don’t like the smell of weed, and 2, my kids dad passed away from an overdose a few months ago and the smell was super triggering to them. I understand the rules state you can do that on your site, but to be respectful of neighbours. I know this gentleman was talked to, and he wasn’t respectful of his neighbours. If he can’t smoke by his kids, why does he think it’s ok for everyone else? I’m sure the office staff wouldn’t appreciate it if they were smoking right by them constantly. There were times I had to go inside my trailer bc I couldn’t breathe and I was getting headaches. My suggestion would be to have a designated area for them to camp away from everyone else, or make a designated smoking area, or request them to smoke off property. We love our time at Gallagher and it’s a highlight of our summer, just a few concerns/suggestions to consider…
