Absolutely loved our first visit! Extremely family friendly and kid orientated. We loved all the activities. Staff was wonderful!

Let me start by saying that the staff at the Great Escapes was a wonderful group of people. They were friendly, kind, and helpful. No part of our bad experience at Great Escapes should be held against these lovely, hardworking people. But we did not enjoy our stay at Great Escapes Branson. It was a frustrating, disappointing and uncomfortable experience for all of us. We will never return to this establishment and I highly recommend you look elsewhere as well.We booked 4 nights in a Silver Creek Cottage and it was abysmal. The cabin was cramped and poorly laid out. There was no sink in the bathroom. The toilet was so low that I had a hard time getting down to it, and I am a short, agile person. The beds - for which we had to provide all of our own sheets, blankets and pillows - were thin, vinyl coated and ridiculously uncomfortable. Dummy panels would randomly fall off the cabinets if you bumped against them. Most of the window blinds were damaged in some way. When I pulled the chain on the fan to turn the light on, the chain snapped. When we got there, the shower would not drain. We paid more for this cabin because the cheaper one did not have a shower in it. But we still had to go shower at the shower house, because this teeny tiny shower wouldn't drain for the first day. (Maintenance did get it fixed) The bathroom vent/light sounded like a construction zone. It was so loud that you couldn't have a conversation with it on. But worst of all was the intense musty smell. And I mean INTENSE. My allergies were upset within the first few hours. By the second day, we all had runny noses, itchy eyes, and sore throats. We had family in the cabin next to us and they said after the first night, “These cabins are awful!” So it's not just me!We finally gave up and asked the Welcome Center if they had anything else available. One of the covered wagons was unoccupied, so they let us switch, if we paid the up charge for it. Desperate for relief we packed up everything we had, loaded up, drove to another site, and unloaded again. When we came back that night, we needed to bathe all of our children before bed. But the water heater was broken. We did not get our family to bed until after 10:00 p.m., which is a definite hardship when all of your children are 5 and under. Now, the maintenance staff was prompt, efficient, and incredibly courteous. They were great to work with. But it was one frustration after another! The entire stay felt like a money grab with a fee or a fine hiding around every corner. And the whole campus itself was quite disappointing. It's not like it was tucked away in a really scenic spot. There were storage units to the left, a Senior Center to the right, and a trailer park out the front gate. The whole Wibit course was in a detention pond. I don't know if they made it just for that, or if they put the Wibit course in there to utilize what was present. I'm not sure. But it was a shadeless parking lot for RVs. The pool was cloudy. The playground was run down. And the big family reunion cabin was also disgusting. It smelled bad and the bathroom had definite signs of mold. Everything was just disappointing. And we paid so much money for this stay! SO MUCH! And then even more money to survive it! For what this cost, we could have stayed somewhere so much nicer, and so much more comfortable, and still had extra money for activities around Branson.Branson is a big area and there are TONS of places to stay that would offer more comfort for less money. If you feel compelled to stay here anyway, avoid the Silver Creek and Talking Rock Cabins AT ALL COST. You will regret it, I guarantee. The Covered Wagons, Riverview and similar options were nice enough. But the resort as a whole was still tremendously lacking, and unreasonably expensive. Our family will not be returning.

The cabins are very nice, but I wish the bathroom had been cleaned a little more thoroughly. The shower curtain is really gross, and the drain was full of hair. We were also a little disappointed that there isn't enough golf carts to accommodate everyone. My husband is disabled, so excessive walking is hard on him. Everything else about the park was perfect!

The people are really nice and friendly. I did feel like the establishment was out to get your wallet. I thought it was going to be around $700 but ended up costing me $1100. Buying bracelets for everyone, pay $20 to register for my cabin? , paying for life jackets.....

Perfect spot for the family! With little ones, there's was plenty of activities to do, so there was no need for leaving. Our littles especially loved the widget and 4th of July activities. Hey hey ride for the win!

Amazing experience. Had a phenomenal stay in our cabin, the park had plenty of events or activities for all ages, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful with the reservation.
