Always enjoy our stays at Mitchell Park aka Great Escapes. My husbands parents built the park, so Always fun to see the improvements and changes.The only regret was that we picked a weekend that was so busy. We were unable to get in the pool...too crowded.Only issue was the water at campsites had to be turned off for a time Sunday morning when we were trying to pack up and leave.Would be nice if there was a text/email notification system for that type information to be sent out to campers. Oakdale Park in Glen Rose has a communication system. Very helpful to know what is going on in Park, like the events, times, pool closings etc...

Amazing time

Lacks the true “resort” feel. The pools are underwhelming. The splash pad needs serviced - low water level and many inoperable parts. WiFi only works in certain places. Definitely not all rented spots receive WiFi. My family has visited many resort parks, and this one just felt very lackluster.

Clean and well kept place

We certainly enjoyed our three days here. The only thing that I would recommend is that the trees be trimmed way back. Almost every turn we made it scraped our RV. Also, you need to upgrade your Wi-Fi as it was severely affected when other RV’s started coming in.

Nice resort, had plenty to do for our little grandkids.

Needs better maintenance. Many sprinklers & water canons did not work in water park area. RC track was overgrown with grass, needed ice & they were out.

We had a great time, we have been coming here for years, even before it became Great Escapes North Texas. The park and pools were clean, friendly staff. Moving the food truck close to the Activity Center was a smart move. We ate there for the first time, the Funnel Cakes were delicious, tried a half and half…Powered Sugar and Cinnamon Sugar….delicious. Lydia in the food truck, makes a great burger.Safety: for everyone’s safety, everyone should observe the posted speed, there are people who enjoy walking in the park, riding bicycles, scooters etc.Safety suggestion: When riding at night, bicycles, scooters etc that doesn’t have lights: put some kind of light or glow sticks on the handle bars or spokes, so they can be seen, by walkers, vehicles and other riders.

Staff was very friendly. They were recruited to judge our family cook-off and did great. After checkout they called to tell us we left an item. They held on to it until we could return.
