I booked a mot, my appointment was 9.50 am, when I dropped the car off I was told it would be done between 3pm and 5pm If I was told this earlier I could have dropped the car off at 2.30 !!

Very straightforward and easy experience. I waited for the work to be completed, 2 hours which is what I expected. However it would be much better if the driver service could restart so that I could drop the car off in the morning and then be driven home. You then could have the car all day. Better still run your car collect and delivery service for free (not £25) as it use to be. The Mercedes garage next to you doesn't charge for its delivery service so why do you.
