The most appreciated aspects of Hearthstone are:The warm and friendly staff. Kitchen, Dining room, Housekeeper, care staff, Med techs. Always so attentive and encouraging to my Dad.The public areas and hallways are kept very clean. The air always has a pleasant smell.

Curious as to the menu schedule received this past week. Is it going to be the same menu each week? It says Fall/Winter 2025-26.Would like to see that the resident kitchen garbage is emptied more often, as well as checking on resident's TP supply regularly.

The staff is always kind and attentive to my mother’s and family’s needs. The only setback is the cost is extremely high.

The food is terrible. It was much better six months ago when I moved in. It has really gone downhill. It seems like every meal has pasta. There is very little protein.

It is good that there is a LPN on staff for the assisted living. As far as I can tell, the staff is very caring and want to be there with the elderly. They have huge responsibilities, and must learn to watch for everything, all changes, EVERYTHING with EVERY resident. That is difficult. It would be better done with a few more aides on staff. It has been nice to not have many staff changes lately! Changes in staff is difficult for everyone.

My statement was received on 9/30. I would prefer getting it earlier. There have been times when there are no staff in the dining room. I have seen some in the back area smoking. The dining room is open for 2 hrs. It seems like they could wait. There are times the kitchen has run out of item i.e. cottage cheese, ranch dressing, dinner rolls. ?poor planning, no money? The executive director is frequently out of the office and it appears that she is paid for her travel time to/from home. I will likely have a rent increase and it seems there is waste .

Very difficult to connect with management. Phone calls, texts., emails go unanswered. There are a couple of residents with dementia who wander the halls ,entering rooms, bothering residents and taking things. Recently one resident came into my room , into the bathroom while I am using the toilet! She comes in, closes the door and turns off the light trapping us both in there. This has happened twice in the last month. It is terrifying! I have woken several times to find her standing over me! She should not be in assisted living, unless the staff is going to supervise her.
