My issues don’t really stem from Heatherwood itself, but rather from other residents and the lack of effective intervention. I’ve lost count of how many times I have been harassed for money by a woman who lives near Building 8. I’ve called to complain and was told it would be handled, yet it has continued. It is especially frustrating that this woman has stood outside stopping cars while maintenance crews were 50feet away and did nothing to address the situation.A more recent incident has been even more concerning. While I was returning from work, my girlfriend arrived about an hour before me. It was dark, and within 30 seconds of her parking while she was still in the car, an intimidating homeless-looking man knocked on her window, told her he had just gotten out of prison and needed money, and began harassing her for money. Scared, she gave him five dollars, and he continued to ask for more her before eventually walking away. As a result, my girlfriend is now afraid to come here by herself. In addition, one of my neighbors frequently smokes cigarettes and marijuana in their apartment, causing my bathroom and kitchen to reek of weed. When I called to complain, I was told smoking is allowed and advised to have maintenance clean the vents, even though the smell is clearly coming through the drains, not the vents. Another neighbor’s dog also barks for hours at a time and is clearly audible inside my apartment. All of these issues have significantly tarnished my view of Heatherwood and have made me seriously consider moving once my lease is up. I understand that this is apartment living, but some level of quality control regarding safety and resident behavior would be appreciated. Rather than paying $50 per month for amenities I don’t use, I would much rather see that go toward something like a security presence to prevent situations where people are being harassed for money in the parking lot at night. I understand there may be limitations on what Heatherwood can control, but these ongoing issues have soured my overall experience living here.

I believe a human should answer emergency calls like before. I tried several times and not even the answering machine was available. I put a ticket in and called the office the next morning. They assisted me with professionalism as usual.

The maintenance team is good. They have no problem. But there are two points I strongly hope you can improve:1. The fire alarms are terrible bad quality. They were replaced about two months ago and supposed to be working for ten years. But the truth is they just worked for two months and suddenly kept beeping without any fire signals in deep night.2. Your emergency call leads to AI assistance which keeps saying “we are going to fix it as soon as” without any real person coming to talk to the resident. No real person assistance bothers a lot in emergency. Specially in the early morning, the alarm keeps beeping for two hours!!!!!!!
