In the last 6 months, I have experienced 2 patients do not receive the translator to communicate with providers and peers within the 24 hours of admission. I spoke with Ryan Schnarr about these concerns, and he addressed them immediately!!! I also made the suggestion to provide each unit with a tablet to communicate with patients when they are needing sign language or an interpreter.

Nurses do not have access to email. Communication barrier makes it terribly difficult for me to know what’s going on in hospital. Paycom and Inovalon messsges very dry without opening for attachments, picture, etc. And has to come to my home email. I’ve never worked anywhere that I’ve had such a lack of resource to communicate with my department lead after hours. Makes it hard for me to ask questions, make comments or send a picture of an example of the problem aside from texting. And that’s not always an option to remain hipaa compliant. We need a better way to communicate with our leaders in real time. With our census so high, it is very hard to keep up with the heavy activity. A float nurse would be helpful.Weekends are very challenging without an intake nurseThere are very few groups on the weekends. Makes it hard to manage patients all afternoon and evening with little for them to do. Patients comment about the lack of activity on the weekend. Usually no group past 1:00.

Zero recognition, coworkers who don’t want to cowork or help/work as a team, disrespectful coworkers who don’t hold the same role superseding you/telling you how to do your job. Can’t go to management for fear of reciprocation, can’t trust certain staff members for fear of reciprocation, can’t effectively voice concerns because they won’t be addressed or they’ll be ignored, management picks and chooses who can do what but when someone else does it it’s a problem. There’s zero recognition or appreciation for nursing staff.

We need to increase the number of PTO hours accrued per pay check for each employee if you say you all value a work life-balance but 4 hours a pay check is not enough to accrue fast enough to take time off for ourselves especially if we get sick on top off it and you want us to use PTO and personal time for everything. Either that or increase personal time or sick time as well or do both. I am not able to take nearly enough time off to recharge unless I save up for 3 or 4 months at time and don't miss a day. I think we need a better insurance package too. I think you all could find a more competitive benefits package with better medical as much money as you take into this hospital in my opinion.I am really concerned about Pt and clinican safety at night with our night groups when you leave a 29 year old woman by herself with potential 10-15 people who have addiction issues, the majority of them men, and she is by herself at night with just a house sup who may be busy if she needs help. It is a liability waiting happen. Also the man who will be taking over teen groups at night, I am concerned if you eventually combine his groups into hybrid online and in-person and he has 15-16 teens in a group. That could be safety issue waiting to happen as well. Especially with the recent acuity of our teens.

Fire most of the intake staff. In is a very corrupt area. The leader is racist and she conspires to eliminate certain employees with Samatha Fickle.
