HomeServe helped me with a water heater problem. The company was excellent to deal with as were the techs they sent. I recommend HomeServe very highly. They were able to have my problem fixed the same day.

I called HomeServ at about 1200 am as my son had just gone to the bathroom and the service line became stopped up. As it was late at night the call was put out to the service providers. The next morning, I waited patiently for a call or something telling me a plumber would be here soon. I had to call several times to get information from Homeserv. The reps were all nice and told me that it was going to Resolution Team to get me a plumber. I told them several times that I needed a plumber asap as my wife had cancer and needed a facility to use. She is basically homebound. I received one response which stated they could be out Tuesday, I told them that I needed someone today (Sat). I called Homeserv again, I explained to the next customer service rep the situation again. Same result. Calling Homeserv numerous times I asked the reps if they carried a list of the eligible plumbers in the area, "NO" was their answer. I said if they had a list I could call around and possibly find one to take care of my problem. Around in the afternoon, (1:40PM) I noticed a text that said JK Plumbing was contacted to take care of my toilet blockage. The plumber arrived and got the line opened, but he couldn't fix the problem without taking a look with a camera which unfortunately his boss had with him. He said that he would be back Mon and use his camera to detect what the problem was that caused the blockage. JK called Homeserv and spoke to a rep about the situation. He said that I needed to talk to Homeserv about the situation which I did, and the Rep (Candy) told me to tell the plumber to do what was necessary after we argued about the situation. I told this to the plumber, and he proceeded to examine the line whereas he discovered the problem, roots. I spoke to another Rep, and he told me there were no notes by a Candy. It appears that Candy had gotten a little irate and did not put in any notes stating to do whatever is necessary to do it to fix the problem.Speaking the several Reps I was told that since this was just the first time, I had a blockage a camera was not authorize. How can a Rep. sitting behind a computer answering a phone determine what is necessary to unclog and fix a blockage. Just to clarify this was the second time for a blockage. However, I have not seen in any of your literature as to the number of times a blockage is needed to use any equipment to determine the cause of blockages. Also, during this ordeal each time I spoke to a Rep I was told each time a Resolution Team member or Escalation Team member would take care of the case as needed and give me apprised me of the situation. I did request to speak to a person above the Reps head. I was told that there was no one there to take care of the problem. I have yet to speak to anyone. UNSAT
