I’m probably going to have to cancel this coverage. We had an emergency with our AC leaking. The ceiling had collapsed and water all over the floor, but they couldn’t come out for several days. By the time they called to schedule, we’d hired someone else to fix it. This coverage wound up being worthless.

Homeserve did not provide any "service". I needed a simple water main valve replacement and technician looked at it and said he "can't do it and don't have the parts".I've been a customer for a few years and the only service call I made and Homeserve refused to provide service.Membership canceled.

I have no issue with the service you provided. I was disappointed that you do not supply your techs with shoe covers and floor covering for your customers protection. I supplied the floor covering on my new floor.

I had a toilet backup. I called to get an appointment. Initially, I was given an appointment 2 1/2 days later. I then spoke to a live agent. I will call and explain that I could not wait that long, as you were talking about a toilet. She arranged to have plumbers come that afternoon, they showed up quite promptly and cleared the sewer lines, but then discovered a couple of other problems that were a little too technical for me to understand. If they needed to order some parts for the repairs that they couldn’t get until Wednesday . The only negative thing I can say is whoever I spoke to in the office told me that I needed permission from my township for whatever work was necessary. I called the township and they said no permit was necessary. I then called the water company to have them shut off the water as requested. The water company came early on Wednesday shut the water off, I called you folks back to let the plumbers know that they could come anytime and they were there almost immediately. They were professional and friendly. After a while, the third man arrived in a different truck, the workers identified him as their boss. He was here briefly then the plumber said they were finished. Everything was now fixed. We ran the water, flush the toilets and took showers . Everything seem to be totally functional. It appears a good job is done but again I think the ladies in the office may have been a little confused, but then again, so was I.

I really have no idea how the contractor did on this because no one has responded to my specific (before job started) request that I be contacted and told what was done to mitigate the problem condition after it was corrected. My rental property business requires that I keep records of the specific repairs conducted on all properties. If i don't receive documentation on what was done to repair the property, I have no idea how the situation was left and whether or not I still need to pursue a solution. The service, in that regard, was not acceptable. Someone, whether it's Homeserve or the contractor, HAS to contact me, following service, to provide an explanation of what the problem was and how it was corrected. To date, that has not been done for this property.

Obviously the goal of this insurance company is not to fix the appliance. But the goal is just to replace. At an inflated price. My 50 gallon water water was leaking. The tech didn’t even look at it…but insisted it had to be replaced. $1200 my cost. I declined the offer..Following my instinct, I called the number on the water heater. Because it was STILL UNDER WARRANTY, they said it was most likely the water valve. Sent me out the new $25 part at no charge. Instantly fixed. I will be cancelling the HomeServe warranty.

When a plumber was finally found, he came, diagnosed the problem and promptly fixed it.
