Horrible experience. Service & restoration contractors do not speak English. Homeserve has not called me once since I reported the flood. when I reported the flood the immediate response from the HomeServe agent was "damages are not included". while I was in the midst of a horrible experience with water damage throughout my home that's her response. No concern, she did not ask for details, she did not care. She only wanted to communicate that the home warranty is useless. said she would send to her manager because there is no coverage. Still NO ONE EVER CALLED ME. Restoration company pulled up carpet and left exposed nails. the fans and carpet are a tripping hazard causing me to almost fall down the stairs. they do not speak English. They sent me emails with a few words that made no sense. When I called, they said the sent text messages. These are not text messages, they are emails with few words that are not understandable. Your service providers are horrible at customer service, the service they provided was not professional. I was told by the plumber, these things happen!!! NO ONE CARES!!! No one tells me what to expect. NO COMMUNICATION. HORRIBLE.

Denied coverage on a branch exterior sewer line. Policy was represented as exterior sewer line coverage regardless of whether it is a branch line or main line.

HomeServe will not listen or work with the customer. Service people come out to fit the problem but the problem comes back. HomeServe will not look at what’s causes the problem and the serve providers tell you that HomeServe work not fix your problem so we start all over. HomeServe sends someone out. They close the problem, but have fixed what is causing the problem. HomeServe sends out people to do a jet wash which the provider tells you this will not fix your problem. All the tech providers that HomeServe sent out all said your sewer line has to be replaced to stop the reoccurring problem. HomeServe wins by wearing the customer down and you call someone who can fix the problem. Now you get to challenge HomeServe to pay for the proper repair that their providers said needed to be done in the first place.

When I discovered I had a water leak in my front yard I called the city and was told the leak was on my side of the meter. I then called HomeServe. They were very prompt in addressing my problem. They employed FYI Contractors to fix the leak. I was kept informed of when the plumbers would be there. The leak was fixed with a minimum amount of inconvenience. Once the plumbers fixed the leak they cleaned up the jobsite and left things in good order. I was very pleased with the entire experience.
