The plumber that was sent to find out the issue, did not thoroughly check where the leak was coming from, he automatically informed HomeServe that the plumbing was done incorrectly and did not even check all pipes to see where the leakage was coming from. This is a very old house and the plumbing is it's original plumbing. I called a plumber outside the plan and they found that the leak was a rupture in one of the pipes which was fixed without any major cost. Your plumber wanted to basically redo the entire shower.

I called the Dominion dispatcher late on Monday night, November 7. He was very polite and asked about the problem, which was a blockage in the main line between the first floor bathroom and the street. I said the house is barely livable and asked when someone could come out, and he said Friday November 11. We waited patiently till Friday, when the Mayes & Sons plumber came out but he was an indoor plumber and could not do anything to remediate the problem. I then spoke with Mayes & Sons and asked for an outdoor plumber, and they very nicely send someone out Saturday afternoon, November 12; this plumber did an exceptional job.The problem was that the Dominion dispatcher apparently did not understand that a blockage between the house and the street could not be fixed by working inside the house . I would suggest better training.
