HomeServe tried and were unable to locate someone in their network that could do the job immediately which we needed since we had a major water leak resulting in a $969.00 water bill which normally is $46.00. We however were able to find someone that could do the job immediately that was not in your network and were prepared to just pay for it ourselves but much to my surprise HomeServe was very understanding and accommodating. The gentleman I spoke with told me under the circumstances we could apply for reimbursement and sent me information for reimbursement. I sent in the info and received confirmation promptly the next day that our request had been approved and they were issuing us a check. My past experiences with HomeServe were not so good and we honestly were ready to cancel our service but this was the most positive experience that I have had with HomeServe and changed our minds. Keep up the good work and you will definitely keep us as customers. I think customers should always be allowed the option of using someone that can do repairs sooner if someone in your network can't be there as quickly. I will offer one suggestion. The gentleman that did our repairs suggested we take pictures of the water leak repair before he covered up everything and completed the job. No one from HomeServe told me I would need to send pictures . They only told me I would need to send an invoice. The next day when I received a form to fill out for reimbursement it asked for photos which I would not have had if the repairman had not suggested it to me.
