I understand that the patient safety surrounding personal care items, with that being said I feel it would be beneficial to have combs that work for different hair textures on our patient populations. I have had certain populations that have coily hair complain that they are not able to use the combs available to them on their hair. Also I appreciate the fact that the staff bathrooms are cleaner and have even automatic air refreshers as well. I do want to ask that the toilet rolls be encased in the toilet roll compartment( which all bathrooms don’t have). There are toilet roll holders just not the compartment that can encases the toilet rolls. Sometimes I would come into the bathrooms and see the toilet rolls on the floor and I believe it’s a safety and hygiene issue particularity for women who are scientifically more prone to infections.I also think out of all the units, 2A is the most understaffed considering that it’s a women trauma unit (I could be wrong) . Sometimes patients need to talk, vent or discuss matters with staff and there are simply not enough staff to do so, this goes for especially morning shift. I’m very happy to see that evening shift has a substantial number of staff which when I work I am more grateful working the evening shift than the mornings for that matter.

Taking care of the staff . We so centered on patient care forgetting the staff do take care of them and we matter too
