We had a five year old that can get curious pretty quickly, so we enjoyed how secluded and non-busy the tent sites were. Only one pool was working or open during our stay which was an issue. The last evening of our stay the resort pool opened which was very enjoyable. We felt gypped for sure. Beach area was full of leaves and was not an area to enter that side of the lake. There was a nice young lady trying her best to handle everything and every question, but the place was under-staffed for sure.

Very disappointed in the unavailability of the pool. I have younger children who don't want to be in the lake all day but no pools to swim in. One small pool open that already had 20 kids in it and the pool area smelled like urine. Also the ranger shop was severely lacking with supplies and snacks. Only option for a snack while at the pool was candy or dip dots because according to an employee they needed to make a snack run. Compared to the other Jellystones we have been to, this was was at the bottom of the list.

There was a difference this year that was evident from previous years. Check in was later. Golf cart not cleaned. No food available until Thursday. No ice cream available until Thursday. The store wasn’t stocked for most food items. The resort pool was closed most of the time we were there. Trash was left lying around. Flower beds all needed to be weeded. Hardly any help around the campground. Had to ask for someone to come supervise the wibits when big kids were getting rowdy and taking over so little kids were frightened. Only one person working in the store so lines were long. Kids driving golf carts. Kids riding bikes the wrong directions on the busy roads. Basically rules were not followed by unsupervised children. Some of these occurred in the past but there was a visible adult supervisor presence that was missing. Overall it was disappointing because the managers in the past years were missed and there lack of presence felt.

Great customer service, very affordable, me and my family had a blast with all the things to do. Plus the cabin we rented was very nice and spacious. We will definitely be reoccurring customers!!

Our group of seniors, kids and grands enjoyed the water to cool off during the hot temps. We were disappointed in the pool availability. The large one was only open 1 day out of our 4 day trip. The pool by the office only had one side open which made for a big crowd.

We enjoyed our time but I think the cons list was pretty long. Out of the 3 pools, only 1 was open our time there. When the resort pool did finally open (1 day out of the 3.5 we were there) it was jam packed.None of the food trucks were open a single time during our stay. Of course we brought our own food but it would’ve been cool to get to go there. I also didn’t like how the ranger station closed before the lake and pools and stuff. Felt a little inconvenient. The cabin was cute but for being advertised for 8 people, the 4 of us still felt like we didn’t have enough space. No dishwasher and we’re on a “vacation”? Didn’t like having to hand wash dishes every single day. Also the water pressure in the kitchen was atrocious. But the bathroom water pressure was great so I guess if I had to choose, I’m glad the shower has water pressure. The lake was fun but after so long my girls were kind of bored with it. That’s probably an us thing and we did find plenty of other things to do in the meantime! We did enjoy our trip, and we will be back, just probably to a different location.

This is the third year we have been coming to this park. It is a 4 hour drive for us, but it has always been worth it. The park has always been so clean and has so many fun activities for the kids. We were disappointed on this visit. We arrived a couple of hours before we could check into the cabin. We went to the public bathhouse to change into our swimsuits. Every toilet in the men’s restroom was disgusting. My son came out and said he couldn’t use any of them. I told him to go into the family restroom, which was also dirty and didn’t have any toilet paper. I finally told him to go into the women’s. The toilets in the women’s restrooms were all disgusting. The showers were all filthy and had hair in all of the drains. The bathroom floor was covered in mud and dirt. After we changed, we went to the wibit. This is always our kid’s favorite activity. When the kids got on it, we realized there were several pieces that were deflating. The kids could still play on it, but it took some of the fun away because the pieces weren’t inflated completely. After playing on that for a while, they wanted to go to the pool. The resort pool was closed all day because there was no lifeguard. We went to the other pools. We were in the pool for about 15 minutes when we were told we had to get out because the chemicals were not correct. That left one of the three pools open. This pool was also freezing cold, so we decided not to get in. The kids wanted to check out the jumping pad, so we went there. When we got there, the pad was not inflated all the way, and we realized it was because one of the blowers was not working. At that point we were able to check into our cabin so we did that. I was a little nervous what our cabin was going to be like based on how poorly the entire campground was being taken care of. The cabin seemed fine. The floor seemed like it had not been cleaned but other than that it was clean. The evening we went to the camp store to buy some firewood. While we were in there, a couple was speaking to the manager about the state of the park. They had been there a few days and said the public bath houses had been filthy the entire time. They couldn’t even let their kids go in there to use the showers. They were also upset about the broken jumping pad in the two pools that were closed. A little while after that, we did see someone going into the bath houses to clean them. I looked in later and they were cleaner, but it was still not somewhere I would take a shower. The floor was still disgusting. It looked like it had been mopped, but just smeared the dirt and mud around the floor. The next morning we were on the wibit, and someone did come out to blow up the pieces that were deflated. I did see more staff around the park that day as well working to maintain it. The resort pool finally opened at 2:00 that day when they got a lifeguard. The other pool remained closed for the rest of our visit. We only stayed two nights. On our second night we were making dinner and the oven stopped working. It didn’t have any power. I found the fuse box outside and flipped the fuse. The oven started working again for about a minute and then shut off again. I flipped the fuse again. The oven came back on for about a minute and then shut off again. I tried calling the office, but it was closed for the evening. I chose the option for maintenance emergency. I realize making dinner isn’t an emergency, but we needed the stove oven to finish cooking our meal. No one answered the phone and I was sent to a voicemail. I was unable to leave a message because the voicemail was full. I wondered what would happen if I really did have a maintenance emergency. Overall, this visit was disappointing. We have always made the long drive and paid what I think are expensive fees for the cabin because the park has always been so clean and there have been so many great activities. This trip made me feel like the money and the drive are not worth it.
