Great time as always activities are great for kids and organized. Very pet friendly and pleasant staff. Unfortunately the resort pool was open for limited time sat and not open on Sunday due to no life guard and only one of the heated pools was warm. When we stayed last year there was an issue with lifeguard staffing the resort pool as well.. I wish the resort pool was swim at your own risk so we could use it.

The park is excellent, but the retail portions were very slow. Waiting way too long at the food truck and ice cream truck. Not to mention the young man at the food truck and the young lady at the ice cream truck communicated poorly. I am not a complainer, but the mgt might consider addressing as I heard many patrons expressing their lack of satisfaction.

It was a bit disappointing this time. We have been to Columbus North several times and had many wonderful experiences. However, you can clearly see something has changed this year. There was not a list of weekend events in our arrival packets, the hilltop bathroom did not have great hot water or paper towels for at least 2 straight days. In addition, there were clogged and broken toilets throughout the weekend. The Wibit was half deflated at the beginning of the season, which does not make sense. It should have been fully inflated since it is the beginning of camping season, not toward the end. The big pool was closed for a day and a half due to staffing issues as well. With prices going up and quality decreasing, we will have to re-evaluate our future stays.

There were some very great experiences and a few pretty tough situations. Overall, the tent camp sites were amazing! Well maintained, high quality spots with really great picnic tables. We were camping with friends and all of our sites were great. Unfortunately we picked our weekend because the pool would be open and then last minute they closed it on Saturday (5/30) and Sunday (5/31) - a very inconvenient time. And the only reason we knew was because I checked the caption in Instagram. It was not communicated via email or proactively to us in any way. And it wasn’t in the picture posted to Instagram either which displayed the shortened hours on Friday. Our whole crew was very disappointed. Also, there was a very very bright street light shining right by our sites which made it quite hard for some of the kids to fall asleep and was pretty blinding while we were sitting around our campfire. The final struggle was the hayride with lots of honking golf carts behind it which was happening right as we were putting kids/toddlers to bed. Not as big an issue, but a bummer was the ice cream wasn’t open so we got 3 ice cream sandwiches from the shop which were $17… that was pretty outrageous.

On check in the gal gave me the key and asked how many was in the party, I said 2 adults 4 kids. She said there would be an additional $77 charge for the kids. But my confirmation email I received the day before showed 4 kids. I don’t know why I was charged again. I asked her what it meant that it was Boo Boo’s birthday she said “there’s activities all the time” I said “like every hour or just certain times?” She said “all day” I said “and what time is check out?” She said “all of these questions are on our app.”No one was behind me. I could see if it was busy but there was no one.Our cabin had quite the ant infestation. They kept getting on the kids’ beds and in their sleeping bags. My daughter woke up screaming about ants, when I turned on her light there was at least 50+ frantically scattered all over her, her sleeping bags, and her bed.We went to the activity center to make cards for boo boo birthday. As soon as one of my daughters sat down the girl came over and said “are you done?” I said “she just sat down” she said “ok but you don’t want to give it to boo boo right, please say no, his mailbox is full” my daughter (she is 6) said yes, to which the girl replied “great give it to him at the campfire”Except there was no campfire. There was a dance party that he came to for less than 3 minutes and left. The next day we went in for open activity, there wasn’t anyone in the building, they only had one door open, so I asked if we were too late. Very nice gal said “no they can do the craft” we sat down and the lady from the day before came in to relieve the other two workers. She then told us the craft was done and we needed to go. We hadn’t even opened our stuff yet. So then she said “well you can stay if you do the acavebver hunt next” I said “that’s fine” my daughter got the hair put on her face and she said “ok you have to wrap it up now” ?? I thought. We were doing the scavenger hunt? So we left.Staff was either extremely helpful or extremely rude, no in between. And I understand we are camping, there will be bugs, but charge a camping fee. At $250 a night I expect a certain level of cleanliness. The beds still had crumbs from snacks of the previous campers. Lots of long black hair everywhere that was not ours. And the ants. So. Many. Ants. Everywhere. I did recommend it to two friends but told them these downfalls so they were aware.

Overall we had a positive experience. Unfortunately, the bathhouse/restroom near us was in desperate need of cleaning and attention. One stall was out of order, another was clogged, the floor was always wet. I submitted a notice via the QR code early on in our visit, but it was not addressed during our multi- day stay. The site was pleasant with plenty of space for our dog. The kids enjoyed the activities that were planned. The wibits were a hit and we enjoyed the resort pool, though were bummed it was only open 1x during our stay due to not enough staff. We do hope to come back again, and really hope the restrooms will be in a more desirable condition.

They have the potential to be great but it seemed to be poorly run and the manager seems extremely overwhelmed. They need more training and double the employees. A pool had to close because there weren’t enough life guards, a lot of people were frustrated with the lack of explanation for the activities. We got on a peddle boat only to push off and realize the peddles were broken so we were stranded only to be helped by other guests who said they had told management about the damaged boat the day before and they didn’t do anything about it. We showed up at 10 to ride the 10am tractor ride and the person on the tractor (who I think was the managers husband) told us it was at 1 and acted like we were crazy until I explained the activity list clearly says from 10-1030 the tractor ride was scheduled and he begrudgingly said he would take us and other people started lining up as they also knew the schedule said the hay ride was at 10. The same guy was driving the wrong way on the one way road in his golf cart later that day. It could be great with more training or different management.

We had a great weekend but there were a few things that could have been better.Things we enjoyed were the environment. And beautiful camping arrangements. We enjoyed all of the activities that were offered and took advantage of most of them. The character events were amazing and the character engagement was fun! My children really enjoyed how engaged the characters were while they were there. We attended BooBoo’s birthday bash and he attended for the first 5 minutes and then left. The description stated they would be decorating cupcakes and that also never happened which disappointed my youngest children.Due to staffing the main pool was closed on Saturday which really disappointed my kids. The beach area was overrun with slime which I understand was due to flooding and storms but my younger children were not thrilled with this so we did not utilize the beach area like I had planned. We planned on using the food trucks for multiple meals but they were only open 3 hours total during the time we were there and the food was subpar when. We were able to get it (luke warm and just not great) . The queen sized bed in the cabin was broken down so bad in the middle that it was extremely uncomfortable for two people to sleep on. When my husband brought the mattress issue up to the office staff they just apologized. We also participated in the duck race and were upset but the lack of communication about it. Staff walked up to the slide dumped the bucket of ducks without any announcement, collected the ducks at the end and then left. Nobody was told who won. We stopped by the office multiple times to find out and were told they didn’t know who won. My kids were very upset by not knowing which duck won.

We had a good time and had good interactions with the manager. We were dissatisfied that the resort style pool wasn't open on Saturday (our biggest amount of time to swim). This was due to lack of lifeguards. That was disappointing because we were expecting variety. We were also disappointed about the tie dye experience. My wife waited in line, was told to go pay, went to pay, then came back to the activity and they were out of rubber bands. Someone else who hadn't paid, got to do tie dye and somehow jumped our spot in line. There was some sort of miscommunication and the check in process for that activity needs to be improved. The campgrounds are really neat and the cabins were clean. A little more detail about what is included in the cabin would be helpful, such as the paper towels, toilet paper, and coffee machine being k-cup style.
