The campground and water park both need some serious TLC. We specifically came to this campground because of the splash pad and baby area. We were extremely disappointed that the baby pool was closed. The splash area was also not suitable for small children. Every single side had a large water sprayer. My 4 year old is an excellent swimmer, but she refused to go near the splash area because of this. It also desperately needs a paint job. I am always willing to pay the higher price for a Jellystone because the campgrounds are usually spotless and the activities are plentiful. These bathrooms were always covered in bugs and needed some serious maintenance. The activities were mostly geared to pay options and the free activities were lame - like stopping by the store to eat watermelon. The lack of inclusive and fun activities was very disappointing.

Most everything was exceptional. A general refresh of the outside of the General store would be nice (maybe just a power wash) and maybe treat the water of the kiddie pool and other pool with the black water slide. The water looked greenish yellow and was filled with.bugs. The sites are good, activities are always awesome.

We were a bit anxious about our stay after reading some of the other reviews BUT we had an excellent experience. We were delayed a day and when I called to let them know they answered quickly and even offered to let us extend instead of missing a day.We pulled in and the park was packed with families but everyone was very respectful and honestly it was so quiet even with all the kids running around and having a good time.We got checked in quickly and efficiently. Hooked up and then just relaxed and enjoyed our time. The waterpark was awesome! So clean and the staff was sooooo nice. It’s an older park so it is not perfect but they were doing a great job keeping up with everything on a super busy holiday weekend. They had a wonderful fireworks show for the 4th.They said trash would be picked up every night at 6 but we saw them coming around multiple times each day.I can’t comment on the cabins, bathhouses or restaurant as we didn’t use those facilities but I can say they were busy and the cabins were fairly full.So I would tell people to go and relax and take it for what it is. It’s an older campground that is not perfect. As one person told us….”this is camping, not the Hilton!”We would go back for sure!!!

Even though the cabin appeared to have been painted recently or in recent years, the cabin was not well maintained. Missing trim. Oval toilet seat on a round toilet. Linoleum in bathroom, seemed to be put on over a soft/sketchy floor. Beds/mattresses were extremely old and uncomfortable. They hey ride was good and I appreciated some of the other park entertainment and facilities.

Mini golf and kids areas were great, Easy to navigate, bumpy roads, WiFi was very spotty, there were lots of ticks getting on us, no cable TV, bath house toilets were backing up, site was large and paved. Bathrooms were filled with spiders and other bugs that made me not want to shower or go in them. There is lots of room for improvement and would love to come back if things improved and updates were made.

We rented the Ranger Station cabin for 3 nights and could only stay 1 night because of the poor conditions. The shower did not work. There were bugs and crumbs all over the bedding. When we checked in I started cleaning the cabin and I kept smelling something terrible. We discovered there was a full plate of food left in the microwave! It was disgusting and we left the next day.
