The experience itself was terrible! I would only recommend Jim Ellis because I know people who work there and how much the dealership values customer service. I would advise everyone not to use Corey as a salesman! I have family members who work for Jim Ellis and were very upset with my horrible experience. I bought a 2017 Sante Fe Sport! I absolutely love the car! However, I don't know if Corey just thought I would be an easy sale because I have family who works there or if he treats all customers that way. First, I had an appointment for 10 am, in which he was 15 minutes late for. Then he didn't have the vehicle that I was there to test drive available on the lot so he had to get a different vehicle to take me to a different lot to get the car I was there to look at. He was aware at least 2 days prior to me coming to the dealership which vehicle i was coming to look at. Then on the way to the other lot, we ran out if gas and had to wait on the side of the road for 15-20 minutes until someone was available to bring us gas. When we got to the other lot, we looked at the car, and i test drove it back to the dealership. The vehicle had 2500 miles on it, and I really wanted one with less miles so I requested to look at some other ones. Once we find a couple that I may like we drive back over to the other lot and looked at 2 other vehicles. I decided on the one I liked the best and I test drove it back to Jim Ellis, where we began the financing portion. By this time it was around 12:30. We then sat at Corey's for the next hour while Corey did not say anything to us because he was too busy playing on his cell phone and checking emails on his computer or he'd get up and be gone for 15 minutes at a time. Not once did he offer us anything to drink or eat, although at least 5 other sales people and/or employees of Jim Ellis did, when Corey was not around. Finally, around 1:30, he reappeared and let me know that the financing paperwork would still be another 30-45 minutes so I asked if it would be alright if we left to get something to eat. Corey said that was fine and everything should be ready to go when we got back. Less than an hour later, we came back to the dealership. While we were gone the dealership washed my car. Corey went to check on the progress of the financing and came back to say it would still be about 20 more minutes. Corey them went back to playing in his phone. I asked him if there was anything we could be doing while we waited, and he said that he would go get my spare key. 20 minutes later, he came back with my spare key, sat back down and started playing in his phone again. I asked again if there was anything else we could do while we waited. Corey said we could set up the Bluetooth to my phone. We went out to cat and spent all of 2 minutes setting up the Bluetooth and then went back inside, where we sat down at Corey's desk and got back on his phone. Finally around 3:30 the financing was ready for me to sign the paperwork. When we got in the room, Sam told us that while we were gone, another customer came in that he had to do before finishing my stuff. We finally left around 4 pm, just for me to get stuck in stop and go traffic several miles from the dealership. While sitting in traffic I looked down and noticed that my brand new vehicle was on empty, after I had been told the tank would be filled by the dealership. Again, I hope that Corey doesn't treat all his customers this way otherwise he may want to reconsider his career choices. But even with this horrible experience, I would still recommend anyone to Jim Ellis! I know what most of their employees are like, my previous vehicle was a Hyundai and I took it to Jim Ellis to be serviced and never had any issues!! I will be going to Jim Ellis for my next vehicle!
