I submitted a service appointment request on-line. I indicated the problem was regular burn out of headlights and break lights. It was accepted. I had to reschedule which I did by phone. I scheduled for Friday at 4:30 and indicated I would wait for the service. When I arrived (15 minutes late) I was told the service technicians leave at 5, so I would have to leave my car. Because this was clearly a mistake of the scheduler, a rental car was arranged. I waited an hour and then was sent to the rental provider because the Hyundai team had regular problems getting timely service from the rental provider. It took an additional 30 minutes for me to secure a car. The following day I received a call @ 1:00 with a status update. The details were not fully clear, but I understood that the service tech wanted to replace three light fixtures (passenger low beam and both breaks) at high expense ($387, $185, $185). I indicated that just three weeks ago I had the pigtail replaced and it was not the first time. I was concerned about a broader electrical problem. I was only given one alternative. I called a friend and a mechanic. I Google and discovered a historical problem with lights on 2011 Sonatas. My mechanic found parts at much lower prices, but also wanted to understand what was causing the power overload. I mentioned my Google Search to the service desk person and she acknowledged that they were aware of the problem, but the fix, which would only be temporary, is what they could offer. I declined service in favor of understanding the true source of the problem. Why would Hyundai, a reputable company and dealer, provide an expensive fix that does not solve the underlying problem??? I will report to NHSTA in hopes that I will be a tipping point to a recall.

I absolutely love everything about Jim Ellis!! From the time I was a Chevy customer, the service has always been top notch. The associates always have a great attitude, and it seems to spill over to the customers because even the people in the waiting rooms are friendly. I would like to give a special thank you to my Service Advisor, Christopher Conway. Your service was phenomenal and I appreciate all of your help.

I took my car in a hyundai elantra to get checked and I was told that it was the oil as soon as I arrived. So I was immediately placed for a tire rotation and an oil change. The representative assured me that the issue was that. I left the dealer and the car was still not functioning properly. The next day my car wouldn't turn on. They took hours to do the oil change and all.that extra stuff which made me invest money but my car is still the same. I'm very unsatisfied and now I have to take a trip again and leave it overnight.
