I brought my 3 month old car, Santa Fe Sport, in because it had leaked through the headliner and onto the front console and driver's seat. The problem couldn't be reproduced at the dealership, so I'll just have to bring it back the next time this happens. This part I understand, many problems may be intermittent and difficult to replicate, so I generally understand. The thing that I didn't like was the procedure you use to indicate that my car is "ready to be moved" into the shop area. My service consultant started my car and got the mileage, etc. from it and then left it running. I asked him if we couldn't turn it off, but he indicated that didn't follow your procedures. I went through the process of checking the car in and going over the recall work needed, etc. and then went to wait in the lounge for the Enterprise van to arrive. When my ride showed up and we walked outside to get in the van, my car was still sitting, where I left it, and it was still running. This was now about 20 minutes after it had first been started! I find this totally unacceptable. I'm not that concerned about the gasoline that was wasted, but the air pollution that was needlessly generated. Air quality in Atlanta is abysmal this time of year and we should do what we can to reduce pollution, not add to it. Bruce Vernon was thorough and helpful, so that part of my experience was great.

I was not happy. I brought the check to pay for my new Genesis and pickup a second key and was told it would be at least an hour to make and program the key. I was on my lunch hour and didn't have time to wait that long. Again I was told "That's just how long it takes to make and program a key". I was very upset that they continued to lie to me. The staff of Jim Ellis Hyundai has lost my trust.
