I brought a car in for a diagnosis after the clutch went out on a Saturday. Was told I couldn't get a diagnosis until Monday. Was told Monday that the transmission has to be pulled to determine the exact parts. Well....I declined service and now the engine is knocking. It didn't knock before the vehicle was dropped off. And there was nothing mentioned about the engine or the battery. What kind of diagnosis was this?

I had an excellent experience from scheduling my appointment to when I paid for my service. I worked with Jimmy Bronner. He took the time to explain thoroughly review everything with me. After he assessed the car, he came back to explain the problem and what would have to be done to fix the car. After the car was fixed, Jimmy then came back went over the bill and explained it to me. He asked if I had any questions. I had superior service at Jim Ellis Volkswagen.

The problem I came in for was undiagnosed so that was fine, and a new part was ordered for one that is starting to malfunction However - I asked about upgrading to Apple Car play entertainment system - nobody knew the price. I showed the service tech some 'shading' on the inside of my headlamp and was told it was 'dirt'. I asked for the 'inspection' notification to be reset to the actual date of my next inspection so the computer would not ding me every day - this was not completed. So ... all in all ... kind of a missed bag
