Rich Troung was extremely professional, helpful, and customer-friendly. It was a pleasure to work with him. He discussed everything with me beforehand and then called me to confirm some additional items that needed to be taken care of. I felt that my car was in great hands. This is the best experience I ever had at any dealership.

My low rating is no reflection of Scott Kuehl, but rather a response to my many visits to Jim Ellis VW. Scott was very attentive, responsive and helpful. More so than two of the female service reps I spoke to on the phone that prompted my recent visit. My rating stems from the fact that it seems that VW is seeking to cover overhead, SGA through unneeded or unwarranted and costly repairs. In some instances, through no fault of the owner (e.g., stripped oil pan drain plug: if only VW technicians are changing the oil, who's responsible for stripping the plug?). This visit required new plugs and coils. I picked up the car and the "service engine light" was on and still wasn't running appropriately. I returned it the next day to get a $2,000 quote for additional repairs?! While the front desk service staff, such as Scott, have been great, I've lost confidence in the mechanics ability to effectively diagnose and repair these vehicles.

The precedent that seems to have evolved is that I get my car back in worse condition than I brought it in. I was quoted nearly $2,000 in gasket and seal repairs that aren't warranted. In my prior oil change service, I was quoted a $600 repair for a stripped oil drain plug. VW Technicians are the only ones who have ever changed the oil in that car. If it's stripped, it was the fault/error of a VW technician.... why am I responsible for a $600 oil pan replacement? Upon the recommendation for $2,000 in service, I asked to pick up the car and take it to another VW shop for a secondary opinion.

Hello, I'm an out of state buyer. I was interested in a 2004 BMW m3 that was listed for sale online at your dealership. Everything was smooth at the beginning however, during the negotiations. Things began to get pushy on the dealership side. I was forced to conduct the wire transfer of funds before I got any paperwork in hand. I asked for an explanation as to why this was, my car salesman said this is how the managers want it. I proposed that, they dealer sends me the paper work so that I coul look it over, sign and over night the paperwork back along with the money. The dealership refused and provided a take it or leave it attitude. Seeing that this is my dream car, I complied. Once the paperwork and money was received the responsiveness of my salesman became that of a typical salesman. Purchase done move on, even though I was asking for things. Car was shipped on Friday June 17th 2016, received June 19th, 2016. I drove it for the first time on Tuesday June 21,2016. Car overheated and was taken to a BMW Shop on Wednesday June 22,2016. I contacted my sales man, told him of the situation. He replied "I'm sorry that happened, I assume that you put coolant in and that everything is fine, please let me know." I told him that the car was at the shop, I haven't heard from him since. I get that this is a used car however my car salesman assured me that at Jim Ellis Volkswagen, if the used car is no good they simply send it off to the auction. He told me this car was good. So why did it overheat? I won't be writing any reviews that will entice the people of Georgia to want to purchase a vehicle from Jim Ellis Volkswagen that's for sure.
