First of all, the Tiguan has been a large and expensive disappointment. We have had numerous expensive repairs not covered under warranty. Then after the warranty is out, i get an estimate for $5,500.00 to replace/repair a timing chain. In my disgust, i requested to see if i had an extended warranty to cover it. Lo & Behold, i bought one at the beginning, but no one had offered to check on it for all my repairs done in the past or the timing chain. So, it took a week or more for the warranty company to approve the repair before the work could be done. In the mean time, i had little communication. No one offered a rental car. I was given a small discount. The car was out of my possession for almost two weeks. No to Volkswagen. No to Jim Ellis Volkswagen. I have purchased more than 15 vehicles from Jim Ellis GMC & Chevrolet and service and experience has been great. This has been a disappointment. 1. Someone "slipped in" an extended warranty into my purchase price - ironic that i got it back in one repair. 2. I was quoted verbally a $ 5,500.00 repair. The final repair was $ 3,500.00 - what was not completed? What did the warranty company not approve? What still needs to be done that is waiting to come to light? What was overpriced in the quote i was given? What really happened? 3. As a long loyal customer, why was i not offered a loaner car? 4. Why did i have to make multiple calls multiple times? And why was i repeatedly sent to a voice mail rather than a person? 5. I have a car that has a depreciated value, a public report, and may be difficult to trade in. We have paid off the car and had hoped to keep it 10+ years. Now i wonder. Thanks for the opportunity to tell my story.

Service was excellent. I own a 2014 Passat TDI. I'm angry at the rumors and lack of communication about the diesel problems. My vehicle value has plummeted and I wanted to sell it before the miles get too high but am force to keep it until a resolution is announced. In essence, I do not control my destiny when deciding to sell or keep my vehicle. I am not happy that VW has deceived me as a consumer and now I am paying the price. I would have traded my vehicle in by now as I put high miles on them but cannot due to its lack of value.

I always have a pleasant experience at the service department. The only thing I noticed this time, and not common for other visits, is that a dark scuff mark from a shoe on my driver's side entry, and that the car wash left streaks of dirty water dried on the windshield. But other than that, everyone is always pleasant and accommodating and I appreciate the shuttle service.

I really do not enjoy going to the service department because of rude and bad service. However this time Scott Croston was excellent. I give 11 to Scott but over all from my previous experiences there I would not recommand your dealership.
