I had an excellent experience recently at Kendall Automotive. I hope to continue getting my Subaru serviced there in the future by the service staff that cares!

I love taking my Subaru to Kendall Subaru of Fairbanks. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the service is a 5-star and the place is clean. They are very professional and am happy with the work they do to my vehicle. I travel 300 miles to get my car serviced there and they are thorough and fast.

I am always happy with how quickly I can get an appointment, how quickly the check in process is and how quickly the check out process is. The service personnel always keep me well informed on what the status of my Subaru is and they keep my car in great shape.

Kendall did well by replacing our 2.5 l Subaru engine which failed at 50,000 miles. What did not fare well was the Subaru Company's failure to advise anyone about their engine's proven inadequacies. The excessive burning of oil and the failure of a low oil light caused us to be stranded in the wilds of Alaska beyond cell phone range and stuck us with being towed 135 miles to the dealer when the engine without warning blew. Fortunately we had AAA who quickly responded with a tow truck - the real heroes! Kendal also quickly persuaded Subaru to get a new engine in my wife's car. Imagine our shock when we "googled" Subaru Engine failure" and noted the many many similar failures for this engine which ate oil as a "norm" and had inadequate low oil lights! In cases purposely set "low" to keep it off- in our case it never came on at all. We only thank God -not Subaru, this did not happen at minus 30 in the dark of night in the wilderness. Hint the very reason we purchased this Forrester. Some engineers and managers ought to be flogged for wrecking the Company's once great reputation. I have had eight Subaru's since 1980 and this is the first catastrophic failure. BTW my 1984 GL is on its third engine with 230,000 miles and other than engines wearing out everything works!

In 2013 I ordered a new Subaru Outback from Kendall in Fairbanks while in Vicenza, Italy which I picked up after I arrived. This last October, I traded that Subaru in on a 2015 Outback. My kindest regards and many thanks for all of the staff there at Kendall for three years of excellent customer service and for going the extra mile on 2 Sep to ensure that my 2800 mile drive from Alaska to Idaho would be safe. I love my Subaru. Thanks, Kendall!!!!

I came in to have 5 front end bulbs replaced since they had burned out. To date I've had at least 10 in the 2 1/2 years I've had my 2010 Outback!!!! The service was GREAT. I appreciated the morning ride to an appointment; the calls confirming the number of bulbs needing to be replaced and the cost of all ($150!!!!). The service assistant was friendly and eager to meet my bulb concerns. Thank you all!
