I would like to schedule a short (approximately 10 minutes) phone conversation with Dr. Fricka and my husband to discuss next steps for my knee replacement. How do I go about setting up that phone call?

Im a Nurse Practitioner and have been suffering with a troubled arthritic knee for a long while now and not able to function in ways that i used to, desire and or need to for my employment and activity of daily living without pain and tenderness with weight bearing not to mention multiple people asking me “why are you walking that way whats wrong with your knee?”Ive been to two Orthopedic Surgeons in the NOVA area and basically told “get used to having osteoarthritis as pain is the going to alter your lifestyle and thats how it is”I am no marathon runner or extreme athlete by any means. However i am a 59 year old female in good shape, active by ways of gardening,Cooking, love to walk the Mt. Vernon trail not to mention working daily within an Urgent Care setting as a clinical provider and all of these things have been hindered by my knee pain. Dr. Fricka and his team were efficient, knowledgeable, communicative, kind, explained my diagnosis and options thoroughly in a very clear manner. A warm first experience not to mention as a health care professional im in the know of Dr Fricka’s reputation and outcomes as a surgeon by multiple health care professionals to include nursing staff, ER doctors, other surgeons and Primary Care doctors etc. The bottom line is yesterday’s apt with Dr. Fricka and his team is a life changing event for me going forward. I was also administered a joint injection that has resulted in my feeling like i have a new knee or my old knee which Ive not felt in the last 4 to 5 years, Unfortunately for me having not been treated properly for my knee has caused me to compensate in my daily life of movement im afraid the toll has affected my hips.Ill be returning to Dr. Fricka and his team for all of my orthopedic clinical conditions and knee replacement eventually. As a Registered Nurse for 16 years working in Ortho and as a Nurse Practitioner for the last 22 years i highly recommend Dr. Fricka and his team. Joint stability is everything when it comes to our health

Dr. Fricka was understanding and offered great solutions/suggestions as always and his Fellow, Dr. Clark, was very knowledgeable and informative as well.

Dr. Fricka is an excellent surgeon and a caring physician. I couldn’t be happier with my knee replacement.

Great visit staff always pleasant and helpful. David was great as always with the cortozon shot and listen to my concerns.
