The coaches are friendly and very good with the kids. My daughter is coming out of her shell and developing her confidence each time she goes to the classes. It's a great program!

I find the overall approach in teaching kids both physical skills, but more important to me personally are the character building components woven in throughout.

First of all, the coaches are extremely kind, helpful, inclusive, encouraging, confident, and skillful in caring for the kids while motivating both children and parents. Coach Jonny, Dwyny, and Dario (I hope I spelled the names correctly) are our favorite coaches—seeing them is always a delight.Especially Coach Jonny: he devotes his full self to every class, is observant and supportive, models and guides the kids in practicing polite, respectful, and friendly social manners, and gives clear explanations in kid-friendly language so they understand what qualities they are being rewarded for. All of this reassures us that our child is in very good hands. When the opportunity arises, Coach Dario also shares thoughtful insights about our child’s growth at KidStrong Edmonds. His observations are in-depth and meaningful, and his candid, generous sharing about child development and each age group’s unique dynamics is truly appreciated. We also notice that the coaches focus on discovering and supporting each child’s unique strengths rather than setting one universal goal for all to reach, and this respect for individual strengths and emphasis on personal growth aligns with our values.Second, the facility is clean and well-maintained, with safety clearly a priority. I especially appreciate the clean restrooms and the well-protected gym area.Third, the program itself is well designed—fun, organized, and thoughtfully balanced between team collaboration and self-focused challenges, always with child development in mind. The sessions provide plenty of movement and practice without causing overstimulation or exhaustion.Fourth, the staff beyond the coaches are always approachable, supportive, and kind. They provide clear and helpful answers whenever we have questions about class sign-ups and logistics.Overall, KidStrong Edmonds makes us feel safe, welcomed, motivated, and encouraged every time we come. Our child is learning to know her body better, build strength, practice focus, collaborate with others, and experience the full range of emotions that come with challenges—fear, anxiety, frustration, disappointment, surprise, excitement, happiness, and pride. She learns to celebrate success when receiving a reward in public, and also to process more complicated feelings when giving her best effort without a reward. I especially love the way KidStrong involves parents in the experience—it gives us wonderful opportunities to strengthen our parent-child bond. We get to face challenges together, cheer for successes together, and put in the effort side by side.Thank you so much to everyone for making this an inclusive, supportive community and an incredible experience for our family.
