Staff very attentive and alert to changes in condition. This includes nursing, nursing assists, and therapist. I have been most impressed with Michele, Marilyn and Riddhi with your nursing staff. Sonya. Mellisa and Zina are a star in my book for their hard work, friendly nature and attention to detail. Therapist Anu and Metrice are encouraging and passionate about their jobs. The tools they have supplied me with should help me until lungs and liver are available. I have to say your housekeeping team keep your facility immaculate. I have worked in the Long Term Care facilities for many years and have been pleased with the attitude and willlingness to do a good job by the team. Pick wish the dietary team had been a little more care completing patient orders for meals because there were a number of times I did not receive items ordered and substitutes were not quite up to par. Overall I have been well pleased with my stay at Kindred.

I have read some negative reviews of Kindred but our experience was quiet different. My husband is a double lung transplant patient from 2010. When we arrived at Kindred my husband was unable to even sit up on his own. He had been in a coma for almost a month after the transplant, when he came out of it all he could do was move his eyes. He was at Methodist. Once at Kindred he was taken care of very well. P.T. worked with him on a daily basis & it wasn't long before he started the long road of recovery. I believe we got there in July & by the time he was released on Nov. 13,2010 he was able to walk somewhat. The staff was outstanding. We have now had 4 different stays there, the 1st time was pre transplant. We were never dissatisfied with the treatments. I stayed with him the whole time so I am speaking from 1st hand experience as I did not leave him alone. Even at Methodist. We arrived in Houston in March 2010, so we were there a very long time. Both hospitals are excellent & I would recommend either one of them to anyone. We came from Louisiana in an ambulance so I was on foot. These 2 hospitals helped me through so much. I love the staff at both places & the Dr.'s were outstanding.
