All departments should be on the same page. When there is a change in process for intake, the units don't always know right away. For example, it took several weeks for the whole building to know NOT to let walk-ins into the building when there is no receptionist. Another example is when we were told not to prefill the EMTALAs when there is no nurse in intake. One nursing supervisor continued to try to pressure us to prefill it at first. They still take a long time to come down, delaying the entire process, and we tried relaying that they could send down another staff member if an RN or higher.I get frustrated that there is no sense of teamwork or urgency on some shifts to get patients upstairs within the time frame. There seems to be no repercussions or guidance when people are consistently not meeting metrics or doing the little but still important things like uploading everything to HCS.
